* This is not a thread to complain about not getting a beta key, this is meant to find if there are alternate methods to notify us in place currently outside of email*

Basically, I wonder, if by some horrible mistake I may have gotten my invite in spam and could have potentially deleted it. Would I know that I was more than "pending" an invite? Will there be something on this site to notify me that I should check my e-mail?

I haven't seen any threads concerning this particular matter, and I haven't heard anything from the Devs one way or the other. I understand that due to the NDA they may or may not be able to give this info to us currently, which would explain why there hasn't been an official response to any of the people asking whether or not we will know outside of e-mail.

If this has been answered I apologize and would appreciate a link to source for clarification.

Well does your Beta status have a giant glowing PENDING bar at the top of your screen then nope, you just haven't got one yet. The chance of you getting one when they release 500 at a time is about 0.3%.

random generators have a habit of lumping together since they're not quite random in the definition of the word.

but yeah, you're better off not waiting for this water to boil just to be a beta tester, you'll go insane.

The point being, that nowhere have I heard (from a dev) that your status will change when the email has been sent, and anyone posting that did get into beta would be breaching the NDA, this is something I know many people have been wondering. Does the pending button actually change when you get the email sent? I know that John Doe that got in can't tell me, im hoping a dev will say something.

That's actually a good question, since, after clicking on PENDING for the millionth time, I noticed the "Redeem Code" tab. So that leads me to believe that you get an e-mail with the code, or perhaps the NDA, which you respond to, then get the code. Something like that.

So yeah, valid question.

Ive seen that, but there is no clarification as to whether you are approved after entering a code received through e-mail, or prior to entering a code. Im not trying to be stubborn here, I understand that at some point my status will change if I am accepted, I just don't know if that will be something like a link, or a code in an email, that if you don't enter it, you can't access the NDA to agree to which in turn would mean you aren't accepted.

If you have received a beta invite, the email only says that you have received one. No special codes or anything. You log in to your profile and your beta status says Approved. The NDA and all of that are on your profile. So deleting the email won't affect you at all.

dunno where exactly, but it is written that your status will update automatically... when you go to "Profile" you see the statment "Beta Status: Pending. Check back later"...that tells me that it will change when they unlock my account for beta test...

I certainly hope this is the case. If there was a link I would feel a little more comfortable with that, but I will take it at that and wait to see.
