Ok it has been a solid amount of time to collect data about the reward state for 12 vs 12 and you have also heard very loudly from your player base in regards to the massive reduction in rewards on a match per match basis.

So the question is, are you all going to do something about it or just tell us to take a leap and learn to like it?

I'm going to guess the latter. Yay for cynicism!

Your reaction to this very issue is it is working as intended™.

Even if you don't know what it is (your reaction, or PGI's intention), it answers both.

Unfortunately I am going to guess that latter as well because it is very rare for PGI to surprise me in a positive manner.

I am just getting so sick of the grind that I am having trouble forcing myself to log in. This sucks because on the other hand I am really looking forward to the Overload Pack I bought. The problem is that I can't afford to buy any new mechs to keep my occupied until then. I have 3.5 million C-bills after 2 days of play which is not even enough to pick up one of the new Kintaros let along outfit it. It is just so damn slow and I have hero mechs and premium.

Its a mess for sure, there is NO WAY this is balanced at all. Cost vs Payments is way out of wack as well as the risk vs reward. I almost feel like it was the day one of beta vs this should be worked out now. Cbills income is really bad now. I make less then half what I used to per match or so. With more people I thought it would at LEAST stay the same.

You can earn about as much as before if you play well though. Of course, this leaves out most newer players. The c-bill earnings should probably be raised, but at the same time it should be understood that there's not very much to buy in this game with c-bills and they can end up stacking up in dust anyway. Basically three mechs and you're good in terms of mastering, unless you want to collect it all, but then you'd need MC anyway for slots.

And that's exactly what PGI should be aiming for - motivating people to buy MC for 'Mechbays, if nothing else.

Hardly see there's a need to "fix" the economy. Sure, you earn less now, but with factions and CW phase 1 coming I think the pieces will come together.

The issue is with premium time users - they can't exactly pause the running time until PGI decides it has enough "data".

No, you really can't. Math doesn't lie.

The funniest thing about the economic nerf is my cbill rate went way up, thanks to the target-rich environment and rewards. I cannot imagine how bad it is if you're not getting kills, though.

This is simply not true, C-Bill gain was nerfed so you never make as much as before. And for the target rich environment, you also have 4 new players competing in that target rich environment so either way you look at it you are not making more C-bills - This is what PGI cannot comprehend.

The key difference is I'm driving big punch alpha 'mechs and end up with 6-7 kills, something almost unheard of in 8 man games.

I'm by no means a pro, but I'd like to share my thoughts. I'm able to get in about 10 - 12 hours a week with a couple of friends, but the game is becoming more a chore. We play Conquest while on Skype, and since the trifecta of 12v's, c-bill nerf, and cap nerf we've all been doing less damage and making significantly less money. There are fewer close games, and those that could have been close usually are lost by insurmountable cap disadvantages. It often just feels hopeless, especially when you find out your last two opponents are spiders. I'm very much looking forward to new changes, including UI 2.0. I'm not giving up on the game yet, but I just really hope they can bring back that sense of fun.

Ask the Magic 8 Ball. I'm pretty sure that's Paul's decision-making process.

THIS, right here, ought to be the biggest warning sign to the Devs. Players getting on to "grind" certain 'Mechs, or feeling like the gameplay has become a chore.
