Mousewheel Bind

since you guys were kind enough to take AWAY our ability to modify the actionmaps.xml file and REFUSE to give support we can no longer bind those.
in doing so you have basically took away 2 of my weapon groups (4/5) since that is what i use them for and have now limited me to only 3 weapon groups on my mouse! this make heat control more difficult, i have had to rearrange ALL my mech's weapon groups and you have basically taken away some of the enjoyment of the game and added MORE frustration
i have been begging and pleading since the bind was taken away, why? i have no idea, and have wondered why it has taken this long to bring it back
instead we have people running around with 5/6 ac2 on a mouse that they can macro a button to and basically turn it into an ac2 gatling gun, which HIGHLY makes it unfair to those of us who use just a basic mouse/keyboard that is limited to what we can bind keys and buttons too.
this is just another example of the basic game play functions that SHOULD be on the top of the list instead of just sitting on the back burner while you keep introducing cosmetic #$@& that is of no help to functionality.
HOTFIX IT PLEASE!

BTW, guys, If you can get one cheap, Razer Nagas work surprisingly well for this.

But remember maybe PGI have specific plans for it in the future they have not communicated to us yet.

cuz the wheel is actually 3 buttons, a zip up, zip down, and a click (on mine) cheapie little thing that it is, it does technically have 5 'buttons' that most games allow me to key bind.

they "say" yes, and i have submitted numerous tickets, but all i get for an answer is "soon", well i been asking since closed beta when they took it away and here we are what? 9 months later and we still cannot do it? what does soon mean? next year? PGI seems to put basic game play issues on the back burner and try to appease us with answers like "soon"
if they have a plan for a future use of the mouse up/down, i sure do not want it and would bind it somewhere else.
like i said, i do ALL my weapon firing from my mouse which in turn is how i control my heat, which has now become exponentially harder due to the lack of being able to bind my up/down
we had it in closed beta, so the coding is there, it just needs to be reinstated, how hard can that be?

Yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds. But they do like their complaining.

<rebind device="keyboard" input="mwheel_down" index="1" defaultInput=""/>
mwheel_up
(Plus, mine was edited back when we were "allowed", are you sure yours wasn't too?)

^this. not that i was around for closed beta, but i shore would like to use that there button. my mouse wheel is also a button, it clicks up and down, i'd like to use that there button. it also zips up or down, and i can't recall a video game that didn't let me bind all 3 actions of the mouse wheel. i mean, i'm no computer programmer, for all i know it's difficult, but far inferior games have let me bind it.
