It will be used by the majority of new players because it's on by default according to the patch notes. This also means that new players are most likely going to die even more horribly, and not understand why, because they probably won't realize that third person gives a floating drone over your head that tells everyone your location.

No, it isn't. So what if the enemy can see the blinking probe of you behind a hill. Now snipers can hit F4, look over hill, know precisely who and what is where and when and pick the absolute perfect time to crest/jump/slide while pressing F4 again to go back to cockpit/zoom.

Think it won't happen?

As with many things. I really like the patchnotes so far. Maybe Ultra ACs now will replace some of those abominable 2 PPC/1 Gauss mechs. I only hope the Heavies won't be too disadvantaged in comparison with Mediums now.

This camera thing in 3rd person view kind of reminds me of Solaris VII... :D

Why should I care about the new players? I am not dropping against them because of my higher Elo. If I should drop against 3PV players I would be happy though, because it means I will have easy opponents.

I think its funny people complain about not having separate ques...just play a few games and notice that just because some noobs are in 3pv doesn't make them leaderboard kings....sheesh

Isn't that more than standard SRMs do? I understand that the hit locations are somewhat random, but I'm nor really sure the "aimbot" really needs that much of a buff?

Kind of related to your option 1: I'm guessing split queues is a "with UI 2.0" kind of thing. They would have to make changes to te current launch screen to facilitate it, and why waste the development time when that's going away.

I don't know why people are so obsessed with the idea of only fighting against other people in 1PV. People in 1PV will have a huge ADVANTAGE against those in 3PV. It is the rookies in 3PV who don't know better who will be the real victims of not having separate queues.

Did you try 3PV in the test at all?

3PV is a big DISADVANTAGE in every way. There is no substantive improvement in field of view, it is a pain in the *** to aim, and now they've said your arms will be locked all the time as well.

People playing in 3PV are handicapping themselves and if you see someone with that little floating camera behind them you should focus on them as an easy target.

ORRRR PGI is making it easy for everyone to try out third person view so that when they whine like **** on the forums they actually do it from a position of having a ******* clue.

This way [Niko] can keep his dirty secret of trialling 3rd person view and LIKING it, without having to tell his clan mates his dirty secret.

The split queue screen was visible in the UI during the testing of third person. So no, that's not the case.

There is a change... you get less on Conquest when you lose. So... there's literally NO reason to play Conquest because standing around at a cap point is "tons of fun" when you stand there for at least 60-90+ seconds to convert a cap point.

1st Person and 3rd person players don't have to play one another if they don't want too.

That is a huge UAC buff.

Average double shot dps from ~4.26(less than single) to 5.41 (more than single).
