I will make note of one change..

The Conquest resource bonus reward for winning AND losing used to be Resource # * 50.

Now for losing, it's Resource # * 5.

That's a freaking huge dropoff when you lose a match in Conquest... especially when CAPPING takes freaking forever. I vow not to play Conquest for that reason alone.

Wow, so if you spend the whole match capping, lets say you spend a cool shot, only get an assist or two, but you manage to get outcapped...you will lose money each conquest match??

Your poll is missing options.
Like
"Good, but completely ineffective." Like the medium buffs.
or
"Good, but shouldn't have both been done." Like for the MG double-nerf.
The CBill nerf for the team who loses a gametype where the winner is most often chosen by the matchmaker is not cool.

Yeah, I see that now. Oh well, we can always start another, better poll in a week or two :(

And before you argue that you're not a kid anymore (and by "you" I don't mean you, OP, I mean the collective "you" -- everyone reading this post), stop for a second and have a little self-awareness and realize that you're raging about a video game.

The word 'rage' is getting thrown about way too much. Every time someone finds that others disagrees with their opinion, they say that the others are obviously 'raging', 'crying' and whatever else that portrays them as irrational and immature. Not everyone goes so far as to provide fatherly advice though, so that could be a first.

I don't have a problem with the poll whatsoever, or even the results, I just wish folks would relax, try the changes, then voice their opinion. Too often all we hear is uninformed knee-jerk raging, in my opinion.

I think PGI feels the same way. Unfortunately, just dismissing the voice of the community as "uninformed knee-jerk raging" isn't very productive, it just alienates people and leads to a perceived polarization among the fans (e.g. "white knights" vs "haters")

With that said, the poll results are very interesting and I look forward to monitoring the consensus of the fans over the next few weeks. It'll be interesting to see how many people will use the MG (I'm predicting a lot fewer) and how many people will use the Streaks (I'm predicting Streakocalypse and return of the Streak cats)

I bought the Kintaro with 5 missile hardpoints yesterday, took it for a spin with 5 SSRMs and BAP. I've never done so much damage in the first matches of a brand new mech. The thing doesn't even have a single piloting skill, I'm still stomping skulls. Of course, a lot of people will be happy with that. After all, a lot of fans were disappointed when their Raven 3L wasn't the alpha light mech any more.

My mistake on the #s for losing.

For winning:

Resource Bonus = Resource # * 50

For losing (now):

Resource Bonus = Resource # * 12.5

It's not really worth it for Conquest... you are almost better off playing Assault.

I think to make the poll correct you should ask the last question 10 more times.

Good poll. Thank you.

A bit rushed, not as good as I would have liked, but cheers!

PS: This is not a shameless bump.

Streaks aren't even likely to be a tier 2 weapon after the change, because they still target random locations outside of player control.

The damage increase was necessary and a good thing but it won't stop the fact they are just as likely to constantly fling the upgraded damage at a guy's dead arm.

Again, the 2.5 buff is not OP because Streaks still randomly target 'mech locations.

Whatever you think man.

Increasing damage on SSRMs only does one thing, lowers the effectiveness of lights. The issue is not lights with SSRMs as they limited via hardpoints. The issue is people will load up on SSRMs, and go splatter lights. I did it last night for an hour with my A1. Beat a few 2 and 3 lights on me with ease, just nicky scratchy damage. The only thing SSRMs are not good against is pretty much anything 65 ton and up, and even those you can chip away on and help your team after eliminating any lights and mediums.

Easymode: check

The patch was bad but you like most of the changes? You confuse me.

Some of the changes were needed, but minor. See: LBX, MGs, UAC5
Some of the changes are very helpful: See medium tweaks

However, SSRM, 3PV, and Conquest changes are bad IMHO and far out weigh the good changes.

SSRMs were actually almost balanced at 1.5 damage. Instead of balancing with a scalpel, they went the chainsaw way and jumped the damage a full point. I could see a damage buff, but a full point? Easy mode weapon system for bads.

3PV is bad as well. Words cannot describe how I feel about it. Lets add a view mode that allows people to look over hills and around corners they can use at will and then switch quickly back to 1PV to fight. Yeah, f_cking awesome. I dont care what the Devs think, this is how it will be used, other than a few newbs that dont realize they can turn it off.

And Conquest, the mode that used to be quite alot of fun with quick changes of possession, is now a sit on the square game, and wait 2 minutes to flip the point, is now even more of a time sink. Thanks, now when I play a light, cap points, I will get even less reward than I did before when I lose even though I spent a good portion of my match trying to help my team win?

It seems the LRM vs Tube Count bug is fixed (at least on my Atlas) and it fires the right amount of Missiles again. Thx :D

So this means that if you vote on items you think you know about, you also have to vote on items you may or may not really know without trying. So I give the same spiel I give my kids every day. Please try it before you hate it. You might be surprised. And if you're not, and you were right all along, what have you lost?

I've played a good deal of mech. Most of the changes in the patch are good. I'm really enjoying the LBXAC10 and I like the UAC5 change too. The only real point of contention I have is that PGI in an official post advised they wouldn't force a merged queue. Now they are. It's the dishonesty that bites. I could give a {Scrap} about 3pv and no, it doesn't give an extreme advantage other than information. But to expect separated queues like the devs said we would, we get thrown into a merged queue without warning and get some BS message about how there's no advantage.

From Brian Ekman's March post about 3PV
"Players will never be forced to use 3rd person view or be forced to play against players using 3rd person view."

- Integrated queue - no opportunity to change - on 3PV by default

I just don't see how you can be upset at consumers who are being lied to by a vendor.
