I use it since it gives me an advantage, but it should't have been added in the first place.

Of course people are going to use it...it makes spotting enemies easier...so you can switch to 1PV to target them.

I am using it, because it is a tactical advantage, and I'm not going to nerf myself. Very rarely is 1pv better, usually only when you're being flanked/in a brawl or sniping while moving.

Well no, I prefer simulation-esque even if MWO wasn't totally there yet.

I did see people in matches using it to peek around corners though, saw that one coming.

Really I have nothing against a superbly done 3rd Person View as in MW3 or MW4, but those games, I believe also had server options so you could play on servers that only had realistic settings or arcade settings. Choices matter for sure, but only when the player can dictate also what realism settings they wish to play with in a match against the same realism settings of another player/server, which has been the core concept of pretty much every simulation game I've played where you are never forced to play against a player with arcade settings and vice versa.

Haven't voted, I am not sure I will even log in since they are forcing the two views to play together.

Yes, let poptarts fly. You haven't seen poptarting yet, you need 3PV to dominate with poptarting. Get ready to watch the forums explode.

Tickle us, do we not laugh? Prik us, do we not bleed? Wrong us, shall we not revenge?

Voted No, btw.

:D

PGI made 3PV so bad that nobody with a brain will ever use it. I tried it today - wtf...
1.) If you have a big mech you see most of the time nothing of your enemy. If the enemy is relativly close its worst.
2.) Ok, you are able to see a little more right and left but you have no map and other important informations

Well done PGI. Its so cruel that it is not a hard choice. 1PV rules and that is good. So i have no problems with it.

I will test it for myself, but After talking with Khobai, I am not thinking I will like the way the game will feel using it.

It's not derpmode permanent 3PV players that are the problem. You can switch to 3PV, scan the landscape and go right back to 1PV to engage your target.

F4

However, if you wish to troll when someone asks how to switch views in game though, just say Alt+F4.

Ok, if you are able to switch between 1st and 3rd as often as you want of course 3rd PV will become the main mode. In this case the 3rdPV drone is a new game mechanic that is now part of the game as ecm, bap or other stuff. Ok, then it is clear that i will use 3rd PV to have a better overview and switch to 1st for shooting.
