Aerokii, that was a good and rational reply. Thank you. I domt care about the founders package. That money has been repaid many times over and I enjoyed it for the most part. However, for them to continue releasing new, buggy, paid for content, while going back on previous promises again and again is just... immoral. but PGIs current tactic of unbalancing the game while making it harder and harder for new players to understand, and ignoring swathes of players suggestions and improvements is also just. Wrong. And defeats the purpose of a beta. I'm not asking for everything to be "my way", but the fact that PGI seems to completely disregard most of the players who care enough about this game to post here and just does their own thing again and again gives me 0 faith in them and I will criticise them until they stop. They don't even readtmy posts, they don't really care that I exist for anything other than my money, yet here I am. I still post, giving feedback like the forums are designed to do, only to be completely ignired along with all the other players who have their own ideas about how to fix the game for everybody. Its depressing.

It doesn't matter if the glass is half full or empty, just be thankful that there is something in it.
At least we have a modern day MechWarrior title to play with.

We should be happy it's not a sellers market.
As well as the obvious Hawken there's other things coming up...

Looking back I probably could have toned it back a bit- but if you're not complaining I'm not! I can certainly understand where you're coming from with the content they're releasing, though I'd argue on whether or not their plans constitute a promise. As I said it's just sort of the nature of development, and it happens in many, many fields (I can't really talk about mine, against company policy, but it'happens here too where changes could impact someone's life.)
That doesn't make it right or wrong, of course- and lord knows I don't agree with how 3rd POV in particular was implemented (default on? Without showing the torso/leg alignment? That's not helpful at all!) However I don't believe that they don't listen to the suggestions, but there's a lot of different suggestions and opinions, and it's difficult to find one thing everyone agrees upon that's not ridiculously broad (ex: GENERALLY DO BETTER!) Just because they don't respond in a noticable way doesn't mean they aren't listening- but I certainly believe the communication could be a bit better (they're more open than most devs I've worked with externally, but that doesn't mean it's all GOOD communication.) The best you can do at the moment is keep giving feedback, and if things keep deteriorating in your point of view... :/ I'm sorry. There's no easy solution for that, but if I were in such a position, I'd vote with the uninstall button. Sometimes that's what it takes to get a message acrossed.
Thank you for a well written and well thought out post. I wish we could have more of these around here.

I don't even know why they let us shift in and out of 3PV because allowing only one shift per match (to account for all the new guys going "ew, how do I go back to 1PV" would basically fix using it as a periscope.

Yay yet another comment from an uneducated mouthbreather. just what we need.
Oh, I forgot that I was supposed to care and agree with a bunch of whiny self entitled brats who decide to throw a hissy fit and uninstall their game over an insignificant new camera angle, and then beg for my attention and sympathy. You got me there sport!

So now we are requested to just deal with lack of follow through on the commitment that we would be able to choose not to play with 3PVers, as we wait for a mystery solution which we're assured ''addresses a few more community wish list items''.
I want to believe PGI. They do some good things... Sarah's Jenner, the detailed tech notes from time to time, the recent take-it-on-the-chin apology from the map maker who said he'd made a mistake, etc.
But frankly, after yesterday's blatant decommitment - revealed in such an offhand way in the patch notes - on a subject they knew was an important concern of their customers, any new commitments hold very little credibility.
This customer's trust has been badly shaken.

PGI gets a big tax break for the donations on sarah's mech....
