Just bought mysellf an atlas D and trying out some builds - currently toying around with 2x llas 2x mlas , ac20 and 2x srm6 with DHS (obiously) and 300 single engine

but im still cinsidering some tweaks.

My aim is more for DPS brawler with limited long range than high alpha sniping build.
As heat efficent as possible

suggestions? (im thinking about switching ac20 for some smaller ac`s for more dakka)

been trying to figure out a good loadout for the AS7-D, but other than its stock config seems a little difficult to come up with anything different!

The build I use is x2 ERPPC, x2 UAC/5

Typically does 800-1000 damage per match

I'd junk the 300, it's just too slow, especially when your longest range weapon is the LL (no damage past 900 meters, past 700 it's more of a joke). I'd go for at least a 325 (I run a 350 in my D-DC).

You could try THIS.

Or, as an alternative, drop the PPCs for ERLLs and 4 more DHS.

4x Medium Laser
2x SRM6
2x UAC/5
STD 300
1x AMS

Load with ammo, get armor values where you want, and aim well.

Same as above, only 2X LRM10s instead of SRMS. (making it basically a tighter, faster, single-volley LRM20). Compared to above, is more dependent on unjammed UACs in CQB, so be careful. But def. my favorite build for the founders D, with tolerable heat issues (rarely use coolshot).

Nice!
Obvious but you have a ton left for more leg armor.

2 x ER-LL
1 x AC-20 with 35 rounds of ammunition.
AMS with 1000 rounds.
325 standard engine.
18 DHS.
Modules to taste.

Disapointed if I do under 600 damage per round & get at least 2 kills...

AS7-D: The beast.

You will not easily run out of AC/20 rounds. ;)

A bit on the slow side with that short range focused armament, but if you keep to cover and have a little patience I think it can work.

I have gone for the opposite approach. My Alpha Atlas is a Sniper; its configured for survivability to enable it to carry out its primary role as long as possible. Here are a few of its main features:

. Armour = Ferro Fibrous
. Structure = Endo Steel
. Engine = 325
. Primary Offensive = 1xERPPC+Advanced 4xZoom Module
. Secondary Offensive = 1xLRM15+Artemis IV
. Primary Defence = LBX10 Scattershot
. Secondary Defence = AC20
. Overall Defence = AMS

Overall this unit fairs well unless it gets cornered by more than one Jenner. I would dearly like to use the Gauss Rifle as my primary offensive weapon, however its no where near as effective as it was in MW4; the ERPPC is the next best tool.

I'm curious as to how you put a 10 crit AC20 and a 6 crit LB10X BOTH in a side torso that only has 12 crits.

I'm curious as to where he stores that Omega chassis so I can steal it.

Here you go complete brawler http://mwo.smurfy-ne...bb460fca16c96f7 also judging by some of the builds here I wonder how many have actually mastered the chassis(or don't play alphawarrior for that matter)

I go with an almost stock build.

4 Medium Lasers
1 AC/20
1 SRM 6
1 LRM 20
STD 300

You've got a long range punch that you can use WITHOUT exposing yourself to the snipers. You've got a massive brawler punch when they try to close on the 'missile boat'. Between 200 and 300 meters you can unload ALL of your weapons. Say what you will about stock mechs. Sometimes they really are designed well.

I take it you upgraded to DHS, maybe threw in some more ammo?
