the competent thing to do would have been to put out an command post stating various small features in 3PV to make it balanced.
- 3PV drone; "if you i can see you you can see me"
- 3PV-1PV transition delay; To prevent quick switches that allow players to take advantage of the best parts of both 3pv and 1pv system.
- 3PV camera zooms into the mech if your mech's cursor is pointed at something 0-20m away. This is to prevent people from face hugging a rock at 0-20m and still being able to gain a vast view above and over. However, there is currently a bug in this feature, where sometimes the zoom does not occur, and the player is able to see over objects, even if the object is 0-20m away.
We know that currently on some mechs, it is not possible to see the legs on the mechs. This was our original to teach new players about torso twist, and we intend to follow up. We will thoroughly look through the various mech camera settings in the upcoming patches and make adjustments so that this feature is as educational as possible.

Since the feedback given here is ignored, perhaps PGI will start taking notice when it's in articles instead.

"But why is everyone - Goon, Pubbie, and all the people in-between - reacting so harshly to an apparent good-will gesture?"
... I lost interest in the article as a whole, and didn't finish it. I don't care for goon-news, and the situation isn't even worth reporting on. The forums blew up over a small issue, a bunch of man-children wet themselves. End of story, no need for article.

doubt it
The articles in themittani.com are obviously written by a founder, probably in a clan, and is way too much biaised to be really taken seriously as "journalism". If other sites like IGN , Gamespot, RPS release a similar article, then yeah, now PGI could start getting worried.

Ah, written by someone who actually knows the situation instead of someone having a 30 minute session on a game they know nothing about.
Yeah... better ignore it then.
I wonder if they will wait to see their post-launch metacritic score or if they will do something to actually resolve things before then.
:edit:
How many journalists have access to this kind of info (keeping in mind how bad the search functionality is on this forum):

Nope...
3pv is totally fair.
Yup.
(insert more lines of denial here)
Btw 3pv totally not op.
First game with it where I exploited as much as I could, got 4 kills as a mean hillhumping sniper that could not be shot back - since I just went up to shoot when my target turned to fire at my teammates that were closing in like they always do in PUGs.
Yup.
Completely fair game

Those were the easiest 4 killz I have ever gotten in my entire MWO carreer xD
Long live eazu-mode 3pv.
Seriously though... 3pv... get real... that **** is broken xD
Fix it by removing it plox!!

Exactly, it's expected that (sorry) but|hurt founders will bash PGI in every way possible, especially right now now, in gaming articles. I don't take these seriously, because I already know the outcome of the article. If the guy at, say, IGN, that has no clue what MWO is about, gets the same feeling and understanding of the situation, then PGI is in trouble.
It's like asking a republican what he thinks of Obamacare. If you want an honest opinion, you ask a neutral expert.

If you think PGI has done such a bad job of development that the default position of "founder" is "enemy of PGI" then I don't see why we are not on the same side of this discussion as we both agree how bad PGI is doing.

Because it is entirely counter-productive and not worth my time. Plus, you're missing the point. I'm taking about how useless the article is because of its bias and there's nothing denying it. If it had been posted by a more neutral site like IGN or RPS, then yeah, I'd have taken interest in the article. This one? I can just cast it aside.

I've read plenty of rotten reviews of games and still purchased them. I've been playing Neverwinter for the past while waiting for MWO release. Their forums are not as bad as these, only 90% of the posts are from bananas trashing both the company and the game they're developing. Funny enough, the game is actually fine. Loads of fun and quite entertaining actually.

Yeah.
A game within weeks of launch made by an unknown developer who's highlight is Duke Nukem Forever and which seems to be doing little to no advertising.
How much could they possibly be relying on word-of-mouth / reviews?
Surely people will just *know* that MWO has launched and check the website!

You're right you've got us pegged. I personally went out and stabbed a guy in the neck I saw playing MWO earlier. Everyone who saw it shook their heads and said "Ohhhh you Goooooons".
