The Screenshot mech looks bad because it is a background item in a 3D fighting game..

But the sad part is.. IT MOVES MORE THAN OUR NON-EXISTENT ONE....

It makes 3 appearances in this video the best one being at 1:00





Yep in the games Launch trailer you can see the mech stomping back and forth in the background.. Time to be all jellies that they have a walking Madcat while all we have is a Comstar comminication clip stating your still not getting your frickin Madcat https://soundcloud.c...-communications

Pretty sure Alex could draw one in pencil in 2 minutes that looks better then that pipecleaner/styrofoam thing.

This may be true. You have to consider that by the old timeline, the Clans will soon be postphoning their invasion due to the death of Leo Showers in Oct of 3050. That is roughly 6-8 weeks from now. The don't come for over a year, in November of 3051. Therefore they may very well hold on introducing clans until November 2014.

Technically they did stay in Inner Sphere and defend the worlds they had captured in the first wave though so there were clanners in the Inner Sphere during the year they were gone. Rather they just suspended all offensive operations and from what I recall, the Inner Sphere also suspended all offensive opperation in order to not provoke the clans and gain a breather to develop new weapons, re-outfit their mech and develop new tactics. Really not much went on fighting wise between Oct 3050 and November 3051 so real bad time to introduce the clan.

Guess what I am saying is your probably going to have a long wait before seeing the Madcat/Timberwolf.

Saddly yes, so just get a Catapult and pretend it has arms.

Ooohhh...Idea. As a cosmetic item (like the cockpit statues), you should be able to buy crudely drawn cardboard arms to pin on the side of your Catapult LOL. They get blown off if just lightly hit (no real armor value to the mech), they just are there for looks...flimsily taped on with duct tape

BTW: The Timberwolf/Madcat is my favorite mech in the Battletech universe, but that one the OP posted looks like {Scrap} . I like the one on the MW2 box cover (the whole reason I bought the game and found out what Mechwarrior and Battletech was).

The one in the screenshot is just bad.... The MadCat/Timber Wolf is iconic and there will be much rejoicing when it does come.

For custom decals, I would like to pain a hot girl on the outside of my mech like WW2 bombers.... IMO, that's a must. Political Correctness is the doom of any military IMO, large and small.

On the timeline comment, it makes sense. I hope it is wrong, but I have a feeling it isn't.

That aside and back to the topic at hand, that image doesn't look good at all, but when the Timberwolf DOES come, I do believe it'll look awesome. However, the Clan omnimech I personally want is the Warhawk, at least regarding the mechs of the initial invasion, unless the Kingfisher comes along. I like that particular mech. Otherwise, I'd prefer to be able to stick Clan weapons on my IS machines.

The very exact thing happened to me.
Hell, it was just a pc magazine one page article; but i still remember that ******* image as branded with fire on my brain.
