Was in a match this morning, Founder compligned his scores were suffering because most of his team was not online past few days. Made me think that most players scores are grossly inflated because a vast majority of teams do not fight on a team level but pug stomp noobs all day. How can anyone be sure if a player is actually any good under such conditions? I assume when it splits there will be a big reset in who is actually a top player and the exploit warriors will fall dramatically. For now one cannot really trust anyones scores as valid.

Sometimes even good players have bad matches. It happens. Sure I "normally" score a few hundred points of damage at least, but there's times where I'll just do something stupid like get my Jenner smacked by long range sniper fire, critting my CT then a spider comes up and finishes me off in a few volleys. Damage says 50, I know I screwed up, I can't blame my team for that.
On the flip side of things there's some games where the cards just don't play right for you, it happens. Maybe the next game you'll get 7 kills and 1000 damage, but you just can't control such things.

It has nothing to do with luck, those who exploit the system rank high while those who play straight pay the price in reduced scores. There are some straight up great teams whom I admire but they get lost in the noise by the ones just killing easy for scoring. It diminishes the truly good players who actually can fight. Its bad for the new guys, Pugs and the truly great mech warriors. It diminishes everyone.

OP is totally right, but I wouldn't worry about it. The best players are playing for their team, taking hits for fellow players, escorting the assault mechs, assault mechs taking the brunt of fire and so on, even holding back if the opposing team is being trounced.

In that case I would like to know how to find the really good players because now they are mixed in with the exploiters. I would assume the real ones would like to know also because there in the barrell with the fake ones as it stands. In a match sometimes they stand out but there is no garuntee you will catch them.

In my experience it is the exception not the rule to have a really rude team. But I seen an atlas hang back while the team got beat up thinking he was smart, waiting for the opposition to be softened up by his fallen mates. I was like "let me in that cockpit"

Yep, seen it way too many times myself. Its just sad that they built a system which favors the underhanded in most every part of the game.

lots of people should be pugging to get better
4 mans and 12 mans are easy mode when you pug all day. We used to pug 8 people vs full 8 mans. Winning those matches was the most epic of all. I even miss the challenge sometimes.
