I know that this is probably already somewhere, or in the works, but could we please speed up the release of a mode that doesn't include any bases??

To many times have I dropped into a match and it be nothing but Cap Warrior Online. It's become ridiculous. I ran a match a little while ago and there was 2 lances of lights on the other side and only 2 lights on my team. The other team waited for us to engage and then ran right for the base and capped us out... completely pointless. Waste of a match.

I don't even understand why people would do this. It makes no sense. Yeah you won the game, but you just got no experience, no money, no glory. What was the point in you showing up?

Can we have a mode that is nothing but just a Deathmatch? Is this a hard thing to do? Is it going to be in a later release of the game? I for one would like to know.

No way. One light mech could potentially make 12 wait for 15 minutes to expire. It's intended to close the game out. After they slowed down the cap speed you only have yourselves to blame if you get capped out.
Free for all death match would still need a cap point... last two mech with no weapons/ammo would be no fun.

But there's a timer, if the time is out then the winner is the team who make more damage to enemy. Or the game program can detect that if the left mechs has no weapon any more the game is over and the winner is the team who make more damage to the enemy.

simple right?

I think it should be implemented. Would make a lot of sense. But you know people are going to be opposed. Not everyone likes change.

Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

I know enough places to hide my itsy bitsy spider to make games last till the end. Be grateful I am not such a person to do that kind of a thing. Or am I? :)

By the way, your poll is an obviously biased one.

I hear that... This works in a lot of other games and saying that having a cap to run out the game is just a ploy of the weak to keep capping out IMO.... it would be one thing if the cap bonus was still in effect on Assault, but it's not.

then if that happens when the timer runs out that light LOSES, no DRAW and his mech worth gets divided up as salvage.

I don't mind waiting a full 15 minutes to finish a game. This makes that itsy bitsy spider sit for 15 minutes or quit match as well...

I didn't think that the poll was biased but i changed the wording to make it less biased...i still think that the only people who are going to vote no are trolls and people who play cap warrior online....

Im sorry... i can't think of a single match where i have seen a mech on both sides left with no weapons... they would have to have shot eachother at the same time and have destroyed eachothers weapons at the same time... this is not impossible but far beyond unlikely...

Again, ive seen multiple matches with a spider. being an honorless fail, RUNNING AND HIDING........to keep what his mech? he still loses at the end. PERIOD........... soooo running and hiding just makes you a known bad player.

on another note, as a light pilot. I will run TWARDS death with some MODICUM of honor. unlike 65% of the spiders ive EVER met

Perhaps a king of the hill game mode where instead of a count down teams gain points for being in a random objective area to edge teams into making contact instead of hill humping and base rushing?

This is a novel idea... you should make a poll for this... i definitely would say yes to it.. this base rushing CR@P (seriously cr@p is censored??) has to go...

Currently i don't like the Conquest mode because of the cap reduction... it takes to long to cap a point now...

and assault has become nothing but people running for your base... to turn them around fine... do that.. but get off when they come back and engage you... don't cap out and waste everyone on your teams time and their X2 for that {Scrap}... i would rather lose a match to a good fight than win a match because some cowardly light ran for the base and just sat there for 3 minutes...

2 things here:
One, someone who didn't want to be found could stall this match FOREVER until you just quit, making him the WINNAR. Capping forces a stalemate situation into a resolution.

Two, it seems to make Light builds mostly pointless. They have no benefits except Spotting.

I'd quite like a destruction type game, e.g. base attack/defence where the base components are destructible. This would make the attacking side focus their damage upon the base, while defenders would try and tear apart opponents and avoid shooting their own base.

Further division of the player pool so that a few people can play what will soon turn into "hunt-the-final-powered-down-mech" would be a mistake.

QFT

I would go for and support a King of the Hill mode with one central base....

Well they can call the game lame mode while you wait ten minutes doing nothing but running around if it happens. zzz Don't you even get slightly disappointed when the last mech hides powers down?

I've never seen it but you should code for all eventuality unless you're a halfwit programmer. *If* it happened it would be a lame wait.

Further more deciding a winner by some arbitrary scoring system is simply put an unfair scoring system. Damage for example, a more skilful player puts out less damage to kill someone and you'd simply reward the team with the worst gunners.

EDIT:
A deathmatch mode in an arena would be good for this though. I was basing my thoughts on current maps. This would work in the arena... which IS coming according to roadmap.

again... forgetting the point of the timer....there is a time limit so the only reason you would quit is because you impatient... you have to wait just like he would have to...

I like the idea of a arena... but that sounds like a one on one situation... on my idea... if the pilot of a light goes and hides and powers down that just shows his cowardice and lameness... me personally, as a light pilot, when im the last man standing i run straight to the enemy team unless its conquest and there is a chance at winning...

and on top of that... since i forgot... BAP will target powered down mechs...
