Throwing this out there for PGI and it's marketing board:
I wont be buying premium time for the now, even though I have used it in the past. Because of the c-bill reduction. yes, premium time will help me earn c-bills, however the reduction has made it not worth it. Why? Because it works on %. For example:
10% of 1000 dollars is a good chunk of money.
10% of a dollar, well who gives a ****.
Mildly exaggerated, however this is the underlying issue i take with premium time and even hero mech bonus now with the c-bill reduction. The amount I earn has been reduced just enough that to me, adding a % of it is just not worth the cash investment anymore. Premium time will not help me earn c-bills at an accelerated enough rate anymore to justify the real money cost.
MWO has available to it more mech chassis and variants then I can possibly recall at it's disposal to add to the game over time. Rather then turn the procurement of more mechs and variants of them into a huge grind, which will in turn turn players off of the game, MWO should actually allow players to procure the mechs at a decent pace to keep more players interested, and then in turn release new mechs and variants at a regular interval(doing good so far btw) to keep putting new carrots out there.
Sure, drying up the c-bills will make a few players buy MC mechs. But it will turn away a lot of players too. Think of it like the US govt: getting 1 dollar from like a million poor people is much better then getting 10,000 dollars from 50 really rich people. In other words, keep the players interested and grow the player base to be huge by offering a steady supply of fairly easy to get carrots, and then watch as a steady supply of money is brought in by said interested players buying MC for pemium time, paints, camo, etc.
As it is, maybe what, 15% of the player base will get annoyed and buy MC mechs? That may be great, until the player base shrinks out of frustration and boredom due to grinding. Then YOU GUYS will have the same issue i am having: 15% of the current player base is OK, 15% of a much shrunken one is NOT ok.

I get it, you wanted to focus on mediums right now, that's great.
But really, of all the variants you could have put on sale, the HBK-4P? It has no reason to exist right now- what are you going to do with it? Every build that actually makes use of the fact that it has 9 energy hardpoints is made worthless by Ghost Heat. If you're going to use six or less energy weapons, you're better off with a jenner, cicada, or quickdraw (and it's quite telling how bad the 4P is, this is the first time I have ever recommended the quickdraw over another mech) since those all have things like better armor or speed, jump jets, and not-having-all-the-guns-in-one-easy-to-destroy-package.

6 med lasers + 2 med pulse with 260 Std
7 med lasers + 1 med pulse with 260 Std
And can go full 9med lasers with 275 std just fire 2-7 or 3-6 with patience.
I raised my 4P since ghostheat and it's pretty doable if you play wolfpack as you should with a med.
The Quickdraw it's a different mech for a different role if your play style it's mech linebacker like most of the players think me hs should be piloted no wonder you can't make them work.

It's a sale. It was probably built into the last patch to fire off today, in any case they do it every week. If you need to rage at PGI please do so in the appropriate threads. Injecting your frustration into every thread and topic not only waters down your point but drives other people who might be sympathetic to your plight but on the fence into telling you to **** off because now you're interfering with what they're trying to do.
It's alright to be upset or frustrated, just please do so in a productive way and in the threads where it's going to be productive.
The sale doesn't seem bad, though I would be curious to know how many people spend MC on standard Medium chassis.
All due props to Garth for showing up. I assume Russ/Bryan/Paul are abusing 3PV to watch the shenanigans around here without getting into line of sight. Hurrah to Garth for going 1PV and risking taking fire

I've grinded the Hunchbacks as of late (done mastering them, still have them in the mechbays at the moment).
What I found was that the 4P can kinda survive despite the ghost heat changes... having 2 weapon groups... 1 for the RT weapons and the other group for the arms+head. It's still doable and usable in the current meta, but in the back of my head, I could do better with a BJ-1X, with 8 meds... 2 4 meds alphas are probably more productive than a Hunchback in its current state.
Quickdraws are not so hot IMO with 6 meds, but that's just me.

I'll ask that the next sale include Fractal, Tezcatli
This is the kind of thoughtful responsiveness that would go a long way to restoring community relations. Well done.
(I know you can't always accede to every crazy community request. But the more small simple ones you do, the better the sense of a mutually supportive relationship.)

I don't feel like paying for the level of earnings that I used to get for free.

I am the same. I used to buy Premium Time in every sale. But I wont any more to the CBill nerf.

The best thing about the cbill nerf is that I have to buy mech bays at a lesser rate! I also feel the sane way about premium time. I have 90 days of it coming in October and I wont be buying any more after that.

Seriously? A sale? Are you mocking us?
They aren't. I am, though. Your post is amazingly spot on for someone so ******** that they can't help but post drivel in every thread they come across. Soon enough you will realize that this is the same game with 3PV as it was without and then you will need to delete all of your posts to prevent yourself from feeling so foolish, but the damage has already been done. I think that since PGI ticked you off, they should just shut the doors and stop selling anything, don't you? As long as 3PV is not in CW I don't care, and if it is, then I will just have to live with it as will you.
Move along, son. Leave the conversation for the grown ups.

Having a sale on fractal would be awesome. I have that pattern on all my current mechs, so I'd pick up a new chassis if it was on sale.
For all of you who are "boycotting" MWO, sales, and the like because of 3PV, go and boycott the forums as well. It's still part of the game and we are sick of hearing about it everywhere where it doesn't need to be talked about. It doesn't need to come up in EVERY thread on the forum. You already have a million page thread expressing your issues, just keep it there please.
