I was wondering the same, haha.

Callsign: SpoonHandle (back in the day started as Draco, then Draconis and finally Draconis77 as others with the same names continued to pop up)
Group: None currently. Retired Steiner from '95-2001.
Background: I was only 13 when I started playing Netmech on Kali. Played with the same group through Mercs, MW3 and MW4 (all under Killdare if my memory serves me correctly.) I'm trying to remember other guy's call-signs... Frost & Phoenix, Extreme sounds familiar, but that may just be wishful thinking. Stopped playing ~ Spring 2001 due to life.
I'm back and excited for MW Online. So far it's looking like the game I've been waiting for and I'm hoping to catch up with old friends, so please say hi if you have a better memory than me.
Other Interests: WH40K, Gundam, Movies & Music, most PC & console games.

OMG I think it is you!

Kill if you remember Wlkabout1 from AOL then that cinches it. You guys formed a group of the FWL in like 95 or 96 after the Combine jerked you around.

We used to play those *wav files on AOL when we were having meetings. Hah I still have a 3.5 disc with them in my computer box.

You were the FWL XO for a while with us, then went off to form your own Steiner group.

Good to see you again.

Ill tag you on my friends list.

Pilot: Sascha Jaeger
Call Sign: Smokey

Sascha, born to ethnicly British and Russian parents on the Commonwealth world of Tharkad, knew from an early age he would spend a majority of his adult life in the cockpit of a mech. Exactly how, was something of a mystery to a younger Sascha who's lack of a family inheritance was of little concern. True heroes from the tri-vids always found their steeds after some improbably heroic uncle arrived from nowhere afterall.

Following a forgetably average and uninspiring primary education he attended the Nagelring Institue as a disposessed entrant where he earned his nickname the hard way after repeatedly puncturing cooling vests during his AIT and emerging from his cockpit with his clothing literally "smoking" as coolant fluid cooked off in contact with the air.

He drinks, but not heavily, took up smoking cigars briefly during his last year at the Institute to play to his nickname but never really developed a taste for them and got snapped up by the 6th Lyran Guards. He served without distinction operating a captured Combine PNT-9R "Light Touch" for several years, confirming to his new comrades the "Smokey" moniker engagement after engagement cooking his mech with repeated PPC fire. Following a disastrous action on Hyperion when his company's command lance was ambushed by Combine marauders and eliminated almost to the man. The then Corporal "Smokey" Jaeger, suspicious following a loss of communication jumped his Panther onto the roof of a municipal car park and, noticing Combine fire support elements began "sniping" at them with his PPC. Credited with a CPLT-A1 Catapult, engaged with PPC fire and eliminated following a catastrophic ammunition explosion, a THE-N Thorn and a pair of LRM carriers Corporal Mendel was promoted Senior Corporal and sidelined for additional training.

Smokey is a man who's spent much of his life in a mech cockpit running hot from repeated PPC fire, as such he's surprisingly calm and collected, he doesn’t like to drink too much, doesn’t like to feel out of control, and doesn’t like cheap rations. His most cumbersome bad habit was to pack his 'emergency survival' pouches with boiled sweets and put ice in his canteens, no matter how many times the survival instructors caught him at it and insisted that drinking freezing or near frozen water used up valuable energy. Since an "incident" during his first year at the academy he habitually carries a compact laser pistol, although he doesn’t always remember to make sure it's cell is charged.

Name: Christian Mercer
Callsign: Cinder
Preferred 'Mech: Rifleman or Banshee
Background: I've been playing Battletech on the tabletop since the early '90s. I still have my first edition soft-cover white rulebook. Since then I've pretty much done it all: every new edition of the board game, the Mechwarrior pen & paper RPG, the Battletech CCG, the Mechwarrior PC games, the Battletech/Mechwarrior console games, MekTek, and now this.

The character of Christian Mercer is a recurring Mechwarrior RPG character that I'm resurrecting for MW:O. He's an "albatross"- a jinxed man, a mechwarrior considered to be bad luck. Each lance he was assigned to was annihilated except for him. Whether by luck, resourcefulness or skill, no one knows. But one thing is known for sure: getting him assigned in your lance was a bad omen.

Other Interests: Full spectrum gamer. Miniatures, pen & paper RPGs, CCGs, board games, video games; you name it, I've likely played it and almost certainly heard of it.

Name: Delerrith

Group: Non-affiliated

Background: I sadly was only introduced to the Mechwarrior series within the past few years, however quickly fell in love with the games. I've played MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries for quite some time, and upon competing in the Light Mech tournament at Solaris found my calling. The speed and maneuverability of a light mech calls to me, and it is always satisfying to call in cordinates for one of your friendly catapults to launch in an attack at an unsuspecting enemy while you watch it go up in a firery explosion. I hope to continue to develop my skills as a Scout/Sniper, and to enjoy the good company of the men & women of House Seiner.

Other Interests: Fencing, many table top games, too many video games to count. I'm soon to start college to get a degree in theater. We'll see how that goes.

Name:Anthony Perez aka White TigerWolf
Group:Steiner till Death
Background:I started playing mechgames back on aol with kesmai on MPBT (Multiplayer Battletech). Ended up with my own Strike team there. then when AOL turned it of I started playing Mechwarrior with MW1 all the way thru to ME4 with all of its expansions and onto MW Blackknight. Then I turned my attention to MC1 and 2 kept the same name of WhiteTigerWolf thru all the yrs. Then completely lost the games due to my kids ruining my disks and controller. Haven't played since but have been wanting to return to the mech arena and with MWO coming out now and unable to download MWLL,it will be good to get back in the heat of battle and honourable combat with other Steiner clans and take out the other houses and clans to bring glory and honour to House Steiner. I hope to one day again to be able to have my own strike team again and to lead them into glorious battles to come and join in the fun that is MechWarrior again and play it proudly and happily....
Other Interests:my family,my friends,MECHWARRIOR TILL DEATH.....

Hello, I know I'm a bit late to the party, but here goes:

Name: Siegfried "The En4cer" Blackthorne
Group: New recruit to the 7th Donegal Guards
Background: Grew up on the far flung world of New Capetown, amongst the prejudice and racial bigotry, hating the desperate squabble of the various peoples he applied to join the Lyran Commonwealth's military wing and attended the New Capetown Royal Military Academy, eventually attaining the training to be a Mechwarrior and graduated, he was then shipped of and enlisted with the 7th Donegal Guards as a replacement.
(Real Background: I live in the real world South Africa and was first introduced to Mechwarrior when I went around to a friend's house and he was playing MW2, it looked complicated but very fun, I really wanted that game. Then I saw the Battletech Saturday morning cartoon and I was hooked on the universe's story. Subsequently I eventually got MW2, MW2:MERCS, MW3, MW4, MW4:BK and MW4:MERCS. and am a hardened fan of the Intellectual Property.)
Other Interests: Computer Games, Tabletop Wargames, Anime, Heavy Metal Music, Drawing and Artistry.
