This is the only weapon that is pretty much needs something done with hit 158 times to a enemy and only doing 71 total damage. 71 damage?

What do you think the Gauss Rifle is doing after it shoots a round it is charging up the capacitors or coils and loading in another round why does this need to be done manually? Why not just increase the time it takes to auto charge like all other weapons do or make it a 300min range this manual charge for a ballistic don't make to much sense ballistics should just point and shoot. Charging up makes more sense on energy weapons.

How about no charge time and drop damage down to 10 with crit chance.

I don't post to these forums often but this topic has grabbed my attention because I have been using Gauss Rifles consistently since the early founders days. Having read the ATD 45 section describing this "fix" I must say that I strongly object to this move as it makes little sense to me to take what (used to be) a balanced weapon and apply some irrational penalty to it because it just so happens to be used in conjunction with a poorly balanced weapon such as PPC/ERPPC's.

While I do agree with increasing the health of the Gauss Rifle so that it is no longer a glass canon everything else about this "fix" seems like all it does is serve to drive the PPC/Gauss users to switch to PPC plus something else.

This is, of course, only one small opinion of a minor member of this community but even still I wanted my voice heard. Please re-examine this decision PGI.
