or we can just ignore them as they are nothing but children and they will melt away from no attention.

You do realize not posting works better then posting this right? And besides in game chat + PPC's to your face will aid in their goals.

No, follow a wise saying. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em", thus I'm Liao (besides they are depicted as evil, but would you fight honerably when outnumbered? no you fight to win)

Anyway, if everyone would join Liao they would leave and head for the space vikings or something as they want the challenge.

And as for preparing, it's not possible with the random people dropping in. The only defence is getting companies/groups going etc. (and even then, they are quite prepared for team based games) Also, not posing any threat or laugable opposition in game or on the forum will lead to them finding another game after being bored...

The question is are you willing to lay low for at least a month or two because there's a few people from the internetz around?

I'm all for goons in the game to make things interesting. They added to the EVE community when I played the game, and made everything much more interesting. Besides, more popularity (through users) for the game cannot be a bad thing.

Or you could save everyone the time and simply perform a mass Seppuku ritual.

Could you so us the way?

I for one am not too worried about a bunch of Tetatae. Their wings will be all flappy 'nshit, hittin' the wrong buttons when they try and pilot mechs. Goons are no different than any other organized clan. The key is organization. If the DCMS is unorganized then we will get killed. That means voice coms, which is easy, and good commanders, which is tougher. If the DCMS produces neither then any organized group will destroy us.

Fear not! For the good people at Hollis Incorporated have modified our mech controls to better cope with our superior physical form, and our hollow bones hardly even break when we get bowled over by someone in a Dragon slamming into our mechs, and only once has anyone ever accidentally triggered the ejection pod with their vestigal wings.

so you're just going to say that the kentares massacre, or previous mass killings perpetuated by the kurita never happened?

typical. So much for honor, huh.

If honor is defined as never making a mistake, then there is no honor ever.

Every faction in Battletech has done something stupidly horrible for very little gain. There's MAYBE a periphery state or two that you could call the good guys, but in the main the difference between the factions is the justification for being horrible.

No we admit, they massacred the Coordinator on Kentares, no argument there. I never heard of more then one Coordinator being massacred. What are these other ones you speak of?

I don't know why this is even an issue. If anything the Federated and Lyran commonwealth have more to worry about at first

Even though it's 3048 this is prolly what our ingame map wil look like. We don't even share a border.......

If this thread was an lrm lock, then the necro's would be that last flight of missiles, at 1k launched, that just knock into the mech at the end of the round, one last spanking.

Guys chill the heck out. Goons are no better than anyone else in 12v12. PuGs will have a problem but in a straight up fight it will be like facing any other Merc or House group.

Nokw the meta-game, thats a different story.
Be prepared for:
- Infiltrators in your groups, TSs, ect.
- Multiple goon groups in various houses and merc corps, all coordinating together for whatever goal at the time.
- Forum smack
- Anything that can possible give them an edge in a fight no matter how low

Mainly the groups in multiple factions and merc groups. We dont know for sure how the meta-game is going to play out and how conquest is going to be handled. But rest assured that they will be in all the houses, and have multiple merc groups ran by goons only and will coordinate to a common goal. Even if that is to the detriment of some of their groups. In essence depeding on how the meta-game is handled, they may sabotage houses from the inside.

Right you and all the other groups in WOT just relied on hacks and muti-user account grinding. Not that a pack of thugs like you give a **** about anything or have any self worth. I wouldn't be surprised to see goons try to destroy this game too. Oh and your Leader should be drug out into a street and shot for publicly telling some one to go kill themselves. Hope the Devs lock the crap out of the code, I wouldn't care if it took an half hour to check my code to log in if it keeps it hack free and shuts the goons down.

Mr. Sean Kerenshskey:

An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind. As for your other assertions, they are spectacular. Without spectacular proof of "hacking" your claims are baseless and only serve to make you look foolish.

We here at the Word of Lowtax, love this game, we want to succeed, just have a look at all of our members with Legendary (or even any Founder's) packages. If we were here to destroy this game, why would a vast majority of The Word of Lowtax spend $120?

Please relax, the sky is not falling.

Thank you for your post, the Word of Lowtax appreciates your support!

Check out what they say about you all :D

For whatever reason Battletech attracts a certain kind of hardcore grognard. 'Spergwarriors', 'pub births', or whatever you want to call them, the vocal MWO minority are a strange mix of good old fashioned racist, ehonour, and nerdy entitlement. They are easy to troll and good targets for humor. The forums are a small kiddie pool of filth rich with foamy nerd sweat begging to get stirred around.

This said, try not to be brash. The forums are mostly community moderated so many of the most terrible egotistical posters are also mods. We'd like to avoid having goons banned entirely as a group so please keep the above in mind while posting. There's also lots of excitement about a long overdue franchise coming back to life. Trolling forum posters is something goons love, but please don't post about your elaborate scheme that drove some 12 year old to tears on the internet. We only want to hear the really terribly stuff. Not sad poo poo that makes us wonder how many lockers you were stuffed into.

Shouldn't the "goon metagame" post just be "all four houses gang up on Davion until they are dead"? I mean, I think I've got a fair number of Lyrans ready to jump on that platform. And if not? Well, Caesar's Legion will do it ourselves.

2nd Donegal Guards: I don't know what we'll be called yet.

That's not a great nickname but its what we have right now.

Mr. Stiggs:

If you could be so kind as to actually review the statement from the somethingawful forums that you have provided you will notice that the person you have kindly quoted mentions a vocal minority. Unless you're suggesting that everyone who posts is a part of the vocal minority, then you are sadly mistaken about the content and posting status of the fine men and women of this thread.

Your veiled insults will not work here, my friend.
