No, sorry. During my time as a Moderator I have been informed of threats that were presented to the various Staff, and these threats did/do exist. To come out on this thread and say that PGI's lack of credibility means you won't believe them when they say threats have been issued does not reflect poorly on PGI's credibility - it actually reflects poorly on yours.
You have no right to pony up and call them liars when discussing real-life threats just because you're mad about 3rd person view and heat penalties. For one, you do not have access to their email accounts or access to censored posts that violate the ToU/CoC, and so you have no way of determining whether or not threats were issued. Secondly, based on that aforementioned fact, your own credibility becomes shattered when you make comments that are so obviously off-base.
You've all read about the Vocal Minority, and it should come as absolutely no surprise at all that some people's comments and suggestions get ignored based on their behavior. If I were a game Developer, then I wold certainly not take the advice from people that call me a liar when I ask them to stop threatening me and my coworkers.

When someone has lied repeatedly. It is to their own detriment as now everything they say is under scrutiny and rightly so.
But that aside...
What strikes me as hilarious about this whole matter is that the Devs seem to actively want to ruin their own game. They have defended making it even more grindy. Which only the truly brainwashed defend. And they have failed to turn on a simple seperate que which would quiet the entire 3rd /1st discontent.
2 insanely simple changes and the Developers are actually trying to burn all their goodwill rather than actually impliment them.
It literally makes no sense.

You have no evidence that it happened, so why would you believe them? Might they are just saying it happened to gather some sympathy from the community. At this point, I'll believe anything.
Thing is, I saw the comments myself in the mentioned 3pv thread. If you dont believe me, thats your problem, but I and others here know for a fact that it happened. Like DragonsFire states the comments were removes, as they should, but that doesnt make them less true. Why the disbelief? I could have made screencaps and posted, but like mentioned this would only ensure the continued exposure of these pathetic comments. Again, its a friggin game, and while I sympathize with you who feel betrayed by PGI, this is no excuse for this kind of behavior against fellow human beings. I bet many of you who accept these comments have never ever had your life threatened by unknown parties. If you had, you may very well have rethought your stance in this matter.

But the part where they said they'll inform the local authorities is downright laughable.

Stop belittling your core fans. We are your target demographic and if you think it’s ever going to be different you got your head up in the clouds. Mass amounts of soccer moms and 11 year olds are not going to start playing MWO out of the blue.
If you’re going to say 3pv is successful, then back it up with real world stats and show us that it is doing well with proof or your just blowing smoke up our *****. If I’m holding a number on my hand behind my back and I tell you it’s the number 3, it doesn’t actually mean that it is.
Just because you’re game or piece of work is ever changing doesn’t mean it’s ok for you to miss almost every date I’ve seen you set since I’ve stated playing. You’re supposed to be a professional and PGI is supposed to be a professional company. I’m an engineer in my daily life and work on design and continuous improvement for one of the big three auto manufacturers. The parts I work on are ever changing and being continuously updated by others which in turn leads me to rework what I have done. So would it be acceptable for me to keep telling my boss once or twice a month that I’m going to miss my deadline or release date that I set myself for the product level that I’m working on? Would it be ok for me to keep missing that date, then just say “Hey guy, no big deal it’s going to be different in a week or two anyways?" No, I would be fired after a few months or probably even less than that because we are supposed to be “Professionals.” Get with it and act accordingly.
It blows my mind were not going to see anything about CW till launch day now. "CW info trickling out through August." Right, can't believe I fell for that one. If there's a doubt in your mind that it’s going to happen or not then doing freaking say it. It’s coming off that all you do is say stuff like that to keep buying yourself and the team time. If you just told people a month or two ago that we probably won't see anything until launch then no one would be upset, but at this point I'd even be remiss to believe that were going to see anything about CW on that day as well. Or you'll do some dumb **** like not post it to the site, but only people at the launch event get to take a peek at it. Here's to hoping all this bs is worth the wait for CW and its not some bare bones crappy metagame.
Again there was no information about the game in this what so ever. Yes we get mad that we don’t hear from you, but you state we also get mad at you when you do. We do because you do **** like this, come to the table with some game information. Some big info about CW or screens of what we might be seeing would have been great, but no we get this pious bull.
The game media industry is writing about your disconnect with your community and they are fearing the worst for your release with the game having so few features and a fair amount of imbalance that when the initial waves of reviews come in you guys might receive low scores. I tend to agree with them. Maybe you’ll be able to explain to the reviewers that your game is ever changing and evolving and that there’s something big coming in the future like you do with us and see how that works out. It’s not going to. Yeah UI 2.0 might be out for launch, but just because the interface looks pretty doesn’t mean you’re going to receive 8-9 out of 10s for this game.
Russ I still don’t think you understand what a lie is or it just seems like you're type of person that can’t admit that he’s ever wrong. That’s how you’re coming off or have been for the last two months.
The c-bill nerf was bs and stupid.
I love MWO and love to play. I address all this in terms of how you communicate with your community.
Stop making your entire development team look like a bunch of unprofessional [redacted], because your the face for your entire team. You still don't know how to communicate even after you think you "apologized". Your doing it wrong.
BTW I don't even really mind 3pv.

Yes as distasteful as it is to suggest. Their is always the possibility of trying to alter the conversation by misrepresenting what most people are saying.
Why address their very real grievances at my repeated lies and failures when I can simply deflect the conversation...
The fact that we are even having this conversation shows that PGI has little credibility left among just about anyone.

Are you trying to troll me with that response? I laughed out loud when I just read that and everyone @ work was like......whats wrong with you :-)
There have been several posts within this very thread saying to the effect:
I was a founder, I was excited about MWO's vision, including 1PV only.
Now, 1PV is gone and I'm not playing anymore/not paying anymore/wish I hadn't paid for founders.
You're either not reading the thread, are delusional, or are a PGI sock puppet.

Try 40 millions for a Daishi...
3 Times...
Have a nice day
I was just going off the stock price listed on sarna. 9Mil+ for Atlas, 29Mil+ for a Dire Wolf, and everyone's beloved Timber Wolf at 24Mil+ for a base model. Configuring those to ones person setup will add millions more. With these new earnings, and dedication to my new job(I mean MW:O) I should have enough for all 3 needed Dire Wolves that I need to level them up and outfit them by this time in 2015.

Ghost Heat was the Communities Idea. How many threads were there asking the devs to do something about giving 6 PPC Stalkers heat penalties. So what did they do, they included almost every weapon system int he game instead of just the PPCs. So don't for a second think that Ghost Heat was not our doing.
No, it wasn't.
Just because something was asked to be done about one thing, doesn't mean automatically that what is actually done addresses the problem.
Ghost heat was PGI's brainchild, that they've been toying with since at least OB started. They could have easily fixed the PPC/gauss//poptart//sniper issue by returning all weapons to canon heat values. Instead they created this, among other, monstrosities.
Oh, and the 6 PPC stalker? That was never anything other than a gimmick build.

Not to tell people how to do their job but, on a post like this why would PGI refer such things?
The right thing to do would be to not say a thing and keep deleting those threats, saving a backup for evidence and then deal with it through the correct channels.
Now answer me this, why would they want to put out that information on a thread like this and on a time like this (lots of dedicated players and beta-testers disapointed and not agreeing with their - PGI/IGP - past actions)? To keep us all up-to-date?

Why where they so reluctant to "split" the community?
Warthunder sure as hell wasnt afraid to split the community by providing PvE, an arcade mode AND a historical mode with what i guess pgi would assume are "hardcore" rules. (limited fuel and ammo, you have to land to refuel your plane, you have to actually start from the runway to take off at the beginning of the match etc)
So if we have sooooooo many players... wheres the problem?
Could it be that we actually dont have that many players and this is just the captain of the titanic saying that everything is fine?

The Titanic sank months ago. PGI is currently doing a reenactment of the Hindenburg Disaster.
