I love Battletech. books, mechwarrior games, tabletop, everything about the universe. I wanted this game to be what its supposed to be. Nearly all my posts here have been about the lackluster job and poor decisions PGI have made.
and with all the recent backlash, boy does it feel good to be right... in all the wrong ways

Its pretty much official now that PGI are a cowboy company out for a quick buck and willing to steamroll over an IP to get it. "but what about sarah's mech" you say, sure, its good to give to charity but pgi is looking at exposure and to build a reputation from that, nothing in this world is free. it was good PR and good for the cause.
but all that doesnt make a lick of difference to how they are handling the game and the people that play it. you have a million different ways to give this company money but they have given you so few ways to play this game. a couple of maps, a couple of mechs and 2 game modes. and its been a YEAR. oh lets not forget an ELO system that has to account for 24 randomly put together players

they are destroying what should be the greatest game of my adult life. i kept wanting to be wrong but day after day, month after month, i have been proven right. dont worry though, community warfare is coming, really, no seriously it is...
the biggest tell was when they got rid of the "General" forum. thats the sign of a company that doesn't want to hear about everything they are doing wrong. its the sign of a company that in reality has little time for criticism and its the sign of a company that are only interested in their goals.
so yeah, well done PGI. you have taken a big steamy dump all over something I love. gratz
