Poll - Limit 12 V 12 Pre-Made Group Matches To 1Pv Only

Keeping in mind when we drop 12 man we do it to develop strategy and test our skill against others. Not the ideal place for grinding chassis, c-bills, or exp. That is the role of the pug drops, and not being able to fight exclusively against others using only 1PV is a bit upsetting.
In closing I ask this, how hard would it be to activate the separate ques in the last patch before live to see just how they would effect MM wait times? I mean is this not what Beta is for to gather data like that? It would go a long way in repairing relations and restoring the faith so many put in PGI when you brought the dream of MWO to us originally.

Release Date: Mid to Late September
Details: 12 man pre-made group matches will have 1PV enforced as the only useable view mode. Players will not be able to switch between 1PV and 3PV when playing in 12 v 12 pre-made match play.
This gives our core audience, who represent almost exclusively the 12 man team group play, a place to enjoy a pure 1PV experience.
The public queues will remain a mix of 1PV and 3PV modes and Hardcore mode will be removed from the drop down list. Future enhancements to the matchmaker will allow stricter tonnage limits, and encourage a more fair and level playing field for all MWO matches.
Bryan. It's not enough and I'll explain why.
Your poll asks "Do you want 12v12 premades to be 1pv only?"
What you SHOULD be asking is.
Do you want optional arcade vs sim pick up game options? yes / no
Do you want optional arcade vs sim Community warfare options? yes / no
Do you want optional arcade vs sim Pre-mades? yes / no
You cannot just dangle a bone in front of the very large angry dog you just took a steak away from. If you are going to make it an option Then make it an option for every part of the game!
BRYAN Listen! Add a small checkbox near the launch button labeled "Hardcore" If you have it checked it doesn't matter what mode you play but you play a 1pv only que. Maybe incentivize hardcore since it's a harder game mode. It's that simple.
For the love of God Bryan please just admit you guys made a huge mistake that way you can give your core community what it wants. Please we are honestly trying to help you here and making these pseudo apologies and half baked not addressing the problem polls isn't going to do it.

1. I dont play 12 mans because its way too much fuss finding groups and exactly 12 members and readying up those 12 members, and then actually finding a match at various times of the day (I sometimes play morning/day/night depending what day), I prefer to just play a game finish it, and instantly look for another match, not wait for 11 other members or find more if a few drop or wait for long search times, and I really dont have faith in 12v12 search times for matches after all that has transpired.
2. I prefer not to be forced into a group/house/corp before I even know anything about this vaporware community warfare and if any of my friends even decide to return when it does ever come.
3. If numbers are going good like you state then just split the queues anyway, and I still know thats a load as a week to gather data is something pgi dosnt do, look at lrms, look at srms, look at ecm, look at ppcs and I could go on but this kind of turn around speed with data and decicions is not something pgi does, everything since the 3pv patch has just been a sweeping under the rug action.
You wont win me back by this, I want the original 1pv mode back, aka hardcore mode and I believe new people should experience this "hardcore mode" too, they might just enjoy 1pv like everyone else did up until the last patch, and it might even make them better players.

I'd imagine it would be **** easy compared to getting say 25 man raid group going in any other MMO....
IF MWO had any kind of social features.
I dunno if it's planned for community warfare, UI 2.0 or at all, but having some kind of chatrooms and guild/clan/corp system would make organising any kind of premades much easier.
Now if you have say 8 ppl you just can't do premade, with that you could drop to chatroom and ask "hey, anyone for premade? need 2 light/meds and 2 heavies, teamspeak required"
As for tonnage, I'd imagine saying "okay guys, just dont run Steiner Scout Lance pls" would be enougth to not get over
In other MMO's there is an incentive to raid, rewards within the raid that cannot be had by any other means.
I played wow for better than 5 years, you want to know something else? I only raided for about a year of that time, it wasn't that I wasn't good enough, I off-tanked for the top guild on my server and getting a raid tank slot in wow is like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, and was their main-tank many times when the other tank didn't show up. I also hired out as a merc tank to use the raid locks I didn't use with my guild, getting paid RL money for my services.
Something to remember, in wow guild raids are scheduled events, done once a week, then mopped up on another day, PUG raids advertise in general chat that the entire server reads to fill their ranks we have no lobby no gear score, no armories, no achievements by witch to judge pugs, much less the lobby to TALK TO PUGS to assemble the group.
You are comparing a feast at a restaurant that brings and serves several courses (wow) to a McDonald's happy meal.

That's not exactly how it is stated.
It's like buying 3 scoops of ice cream, except getting only 2 scoops, and then being told "your 2 scoops are bigger than a normal scoop, and therefore that's close enough to 3" except when you actually look at the 2 scoops, they are no more or less bigger than a regular scoop.
That's disingenuous at best.

Who do you think is dropping $110 on Phoenix/Sabres right now? The kiddies/casuals ain't it. Good job there's merchant services comms links on the "island".
Put Hardcore mode in for all drops, and you'd likely quadruple take-up on your $30 add-on overnight.

- Vote shows yes? - "We removed TPV from 12v12! What's that, you still want further TPV restrictions? This was the change suggested by the community and I think you've an inflated sense of entitlement if you want us to go against the community's wishes just for you."
- Vote shows no? - "See, it isn't that bad. Most players don't think that TPV is detrimental to the game or surely they'd have said no for at least 12v12."
Abstain.
Abstain, as once again Russ, you slant stuff in your favor to bend or break the truth of the matter.
Option 3: You still want 2 queues no matter what bull Russ try's to get away with? YES!!
So Russ, ya feelin it yet? I'm guessing not sense you refuse to deliver on the queue promise, and have come up with a total foul ball of an idea, again! Put in the damn queues and stop jerking our chains.

^^^^^^^^I think the forum ate this. ^^^^^^ I am SURE it was a mistake and that PGI is happy to let the player base see how PGI got to this point with 3PV, and a demonstration of just how little the affect 3PV has on the game is something they want EVERYONE to see.
Yeah, I like how these kinds of posts mysteriously disappear. Weird.

But... but you will have that option now. I thought that is what you were looking for: PGI to hold up their end of the promise.
That's not holding up their end at all. So your saying its ok that I can't play "at all" if I don't have on 11 other friends to play with? Oh ya that's clearly them holding up their end. Oh ya, you miss a little brown spot on your nose there..........

The reason why is this making the "12v12" something unique in the overall scheme of the game.
Technically, when playing this game, 12v12, 8v8, or 4v10, ect, should all play the same. We need to move away from the "special" cases.
This will push the community into more fragmentation, make future expansions into adding unique combat suituations harder and convoluted, and overall just doesn't make sense.

No not everyone wins, very few people win.
I pug 99% of the time, now for me to play 1pv only im going to have to drop in a 12 man?????!!!!!!!!
Ive never seen more then 8 or 9 other player on my friends list on at the same time. and when we did try 8 mans you might get 2 matches in a hour.
Do you realize how long it would take to grind cbills running just 12 mans?

I haven't logged in since last week PGI. IF you want me, and many more like me, back you better SPLIT THE QUEUE'S. Not just for 12 man. For any size group that wants to play in 1PV only matches. Stop trying to see how much you can get away with and just do what you said. We gave you money, stop altering the deal after the fact!
