As much as I HATE to admit this. This is bad ***. That Griffin looks pretty bad ***.

Anyway. Too many medium mechs being thrown in my face for sure. Where's the crab? Where's the King Crab? Where's a LOT of other mechs that should have been here by now?
More importantly. With all of the current raging and hatred about the slew of lies and bull {Scrap} that's been thrown at us by you, PGI. You decide to go and do this and further prove that you aren't listening to us AT ALL? Good one. I'll be sure to bring this up in the thread on Brian Ekman's horrendously stupid update post and channel more anger, hatred and negative emotions your way.

not listening to us at all eh, considering we are a very small minority of players why would they? plus when you have a bunch of man children screaming because you added in 3rd person, kinda makes it hard to take any of us seriously...just a thought .

im prob gonna buy this at some point, i dont have the money atm : (

Car Salesman: This is the best deal on the lot, dont expect to get anything like this again anytime soon, deals like this one only come around so often. Fully loaded, good gas mileage, fresh paint job and leather seats.

Car Buyer: Eh, well I dont much care for the paint job, but the mileage is so low that I would be kind of an ***** to ignore this good deal...I'll take it.

Car Salesman: Thanks! Now would you like to upgrade your purchase? For an extra 40% of your original purchase you can own the ACTUALLY fully loaded and upgraded car you told me you wanted when you got here.

Car Buyer: Wait...didnt you just tell me that what I bought was the best deal on the lot?

Car Salesman: Well yeah, thats just a clever sales trick to get you to start spending money...does that mean you dont want this new deal?

Car Buyer: Well no, I told you thats what I wanted to begin with...why didnt you just offer me that instead?

Car Salesman: Well I wanted to make sure I got what I could from you before showing you what I really have to offer...

I think I am too old to be distracted from my concerns about the future of this game by a pair new shiny toys.

I mean, Mr. Ekman in the latest "Community Developer Update" (sic!) made it clear that hardcore battletech fans are not the "target demographic" of this game. As I consider myself hardcore battletech fan, I am not inclined to buy anything in a game made not for me. Especially if that game is in "Shooter" genre, but fails to register shots that hit on target.

Couldn't have said it better myself, those are my exact sentiments as well.

Thank you.

I have noticed on Frozen City (fixed, for me) / Frozen City Night if I play the game in full screen mode the buildings become blue blocks of color instead of buildings. This has been a known issue effecting ATI/AMD computers.

Other than that I blame my bad frames on a computer that's 4 years old... so if you could elaborate on the frame issue I'd be glad to know 8P

I am running an Intel/nVidia rig and this still happens to me on the rare occasion so it's not just an ATI/AMD issue. However, I've never run into any fps drops or issues since many, many patches ago.

As opposed to man children who want to play CoD with mechs and will buy whatever PGI sells, no matter what? We were lied to, we are mocked in the latest CDU and yet we have dozens of people buying PGI's stuff like nothing happened... oh well...

I cannot say my enthusiasm is as high as it has been. I bought the Phoenix package immediately upon release. I feel deeply betrayed over the queue issue(not 3PV as everyone keeps changing the subject). I have already spent $534.55 in this game because I believed in its future. I no longer feel willing to purchase without evidence of exactly where the game is going. Hard, in the game, proof. I have not and will not request any refunds, I paid in good faith, but I will go no farther until I see something to re-inspire confidence that I can depend on what I am told the future will hold. I have not logged this account in since I logged in and saw what I am up against without the separate queues. I may never again, that depends on what follows.

I watch and I wait.

Griffin looks good, Wolverine is meh, and with the overall status of this game, I no longer care.

If you allowed me to choose what mechs I wanted, I might actually consider it.

But after the:

Lies/betrayal since I purchased a Founders package

Crappy development (mech scaling, terrain, mission modes)

Ridiculously *** ECM

Bait and Switch 1PV/3PV queues

CT issues on my first and last Hero (we'll see how the fix goes)

I'm no longer inclined to spend any cash on MWO.

Besides, the Phoenix paint scheme looks like @$$ to me as it is.

Here I was thinking that I'd wait until the last possible second and cave and purchase the Overlord package. Now I learn that I'd have to spend an additional $30 for the Sabre package (or a total of $110). Couldn't the Sabre package just have been a nice bonus for those who've already purchased a Phoenix Package? I know, no one is making me spend money on this game, but now I have to either downgrade my purchase plans or more likley, not purchase either.

I have very mixed feelings about this now. I would like to continue to support PGI, but on the other hand, I have more important things to pay for in real life.

Just my two cents....... ;)

What is up with people worrying about how other people spend their money? I have worked hard to be successful and I will spend my money how I see fit. If that means spending $100 a week on MWO, so be it!

You sound silly when you worry about how others spend their money.

If people keep throwing money at PGI, then they'll assume everything is great and we won't have the game we were promised.

I love the look of these mechs!
I bought Phoenix right away, but I'm holding off until Sept. 17th before I spend another dime on this game.

Both mechs look great, and if in the future PGI show that they are listening to their player base, about things that are needed for this game to succeed, i might consider buying an upgrade of my Overlord package. But as a hard core Battle tech, and Mech warrior fan im not their target demographic my wallet is staying closed for now.

Those Wolverine and Griffin are looked very nice and cool, but... with owning these mech, is it guarantee that you will make so many kills or wins with these mechs?... I already bought overlord tier, and I think it's enough for me. I already have too many mech with the overlord tier + 6 assault at my mechbays. Too many so may be I don't play all. Beside Hero mech usually more cool that any mech in its variant and can be bought with MC not $. Why so rush to buy them?.
Just wait.. soon or later they can be bought with CB or MC.

hahahaha same what? did u just jump in two rolling matches ? in a good mach with premium and a normal non herro mech i can make 200K
its not easy but just a GG

They were two very good matches in the Misery (something like 11 kills between the 2 matches) hahaha. Even in an average win match with my TDK and premium I'm getting a good 170/180K, easily making a couple of million a night. The losses are alot worse now though! XD

My first reaction was "oooo I want it all. Maybe I should get the Phoenix $60 bundle I wasn't going to buy and upgrade with Saber".

I mulled it over a few minutes, had to return my thoughts to work-related matters, and came back to it this morning.

Verdict: I won't be buying Phoenix nor Saber. I am really interested in the original mechs in Phoenix package, but Saber mechs are 'meh' from a game-play perspective. If the packages had included iconic mechs like Phoenix Hawk, Rifleman, Warhammer, Marauder, I would've thrown $110 in an instant. Yes, I know, unseen. reseen. yadda yadda.

All in all, I've spent a mere $60 for my founders pack, built up a stable of 12 or so mechs (all mastered), and don't really see the need to spend another $80/$110 on a bunch of Inner Sphere mechs. I'm getting my money's worth with what I have now. I believe PGI will make MWO better, in time. That time, unfortunately, isn't today. I will definitely consider buying something post-launch, once UI2.0 and CW is in place. Hopefully by that time, clan tech will be available and perhaps then I will consider plunking down $80 for a dasher/uller/vulture/daishi combo.

One thing that I would've loved is if the Phoenix+Saber mechs were made available a la carte, perhaps as hero mechs. Or perhaps allow the customer a choice of picking the mechs for a custom package. (I'd only be interested in the Thunderbolt and Battlemaster)

-Edit 9/16/2013-
I had a complete 180 moment last week and plunked down $80 for the overlord. My reasoning behind this is that it is the ONLY Mechwarrior game in town. I want this to succeed. I want this game to be around for a while. I understand that the game is in progress, and the developers are trying to cater to the greater gaming community, not just the die-hard BT fans. I've decided that I'm ok with that as long as things continue to get better. Here, take my $80 and put it to good use please. I may find annoyances with a feature, a patch, or a nerf, but it is still a BT game. I'll exercise my patience, and let PGI do their best to impress the masses. I hope the effort also manages to please me along the way.

Wow... 6 mechs for $30 - I paid 30 for my atlas... and several other single mech purchases'. So its a good deal.. So is the Overloard package I bought.. as soon as I can afford it, I am in. Nice looking mechs but they are right .. we will be overrun in Medium mechs.. bring on more heavys and assults.

Can you tell me what bug with AMD processors does this affect gameplay and framerates?

http://mwomercs.com/...on-please-wait/
Here is a link to the thread describing the problem that is keeping me from playing the game.

It has been a month since we have had any word form the devs (or anyone for that matter) on the issue.

I don't even care about the issues surrounding Pirahna's addition of 3PV, what is upsetting me is their lack of any worthwhile communication to begin with.

how long will the saber pkg. be available? will they persist after the launch of the phoenix pkg? currently i refuse to give any more money to this game, but i am very interested in these mechs. 3pv, heat scale, yada yada doesnt really matter to me atm nor does my disgust with pgi or igp, it is the total lack of real community in this game. i just don't see this game to have any real staying power other than as a cult game without it. I'll waste my money on powerball, i have a better chance of success with that.
