Not gonna buy it espescially since I'm seriously thinking about getting a refund.
Its funny that when the time come to sell stuff you actually know what is your target audience but when you add feature in your game you completly miss it.

All 3 have the same engines, same speeds, same module slots, same armor (same max armor?), all are jump jet capable, and all are 55 tons. So what exactly does the Wolverine and Griffen bring to the table that's new? Hardpoints? The Griffen's hardpoints are a joke, 3 missiles in the right torso and 3 lasers in the right arm...talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. There's nothing that the Griffen has that the Kintaro or Trebuchet can't already do.
On paper, the Wolverine is almost the exact same as the Shadow Hawk except the distribution of hard points. The only significant difference being that the ballistics are in the left arm of the Wolverine instead of being housed in the side torso as in the Shadow Hawk. Otherwise these 2 mechs are functionally identical expect for the jump jets where the Wolverine has a max of 7 and the Shadow Hawk has a max of 3. Is that enough to convince you to shell out $30?

Oh look! PGI's Generic Weapon Slot System is coming back to bite them. Called this one back in closed beta....
However what your both failing to realize is that it is the locations of the hardpoints, not the number that can make or break a mech for each person. I for example, rarely will pilot a mech that I can't locate most of its direct fire weapons in the arms so moving a Hardpoint out of the torso the the arm is all the difference for me.
Also shape and size is as important if not more so than number and type of hardpoints in most cases. If the mech has extremely vulnerable CT or even side torsos, this can dramatical change the viability on a mech. That Griffin for example looks to be quite a bit more thin than most other mechs in the game meaning it will be harder to hit.

HOWEVER
I have bought an overlord package and love the core game, but am hesitating on this purchase.
After ghost heat, the Cbill decrease, the impending gauss changes, and yesterday's god awful creative update I am quite concerned with MWOs future.
This is what I am milling around with right now. I don't really like the direction of alot of the changes recently. Also they are playing their cards really close and being very evasive if not downright decietful about their decisions right now rather than communicating things clearly. Also it looks like 2 more promises they made aren't going to happen. I am talking about the first stages of CW and UI 2.0 being in by release.
So on one hand I am having alot of fun with the game but on the other hand I am really concerned about its future and direction.
Still depending on how you look at it, it is a great deal. Based on the current economy 6 mechs and 6 bays for $30 is probably a better investment than buying $30 worth of premium subscriptions at the current rate of return. This is especially so when you consider you couldn't earn enough extra C-bills over F2P earnings with premium to actually buy 6 more mechs. Also your getting 2 more hero mechs though once you have 2-3, I am not really sure how useful having more really is, except for variety of course.

The games finished dude its being released next month, It wont be substantially different in a months time. Beta's are finished products in need of testing to iron out kinks.
Anyways semantics aside they are pretty roberts ill probably wait for c bill versions i have the rest of the phoenix's to elite first anyways. that is if i still play in December. I still have hope even with all the QQing that i and others are doing.

Mr. Grimm:
While my memory banks are somewhat unreliable, let us not forget how that episode ended: while there were dizzying temporary highs, ultimately the negative feedback and truth of the composition of the drink caused the band-wagoners to leave, and sent the owner of the establishment back to slinging suds to his core customer group in his once again run down establishment.
Thank you for reminding me about that episode. Not that the glib link you provided was in any way, shape, or form, meant to dissuade people from expressing their opinion about the state of the game or the consequences of the actions of other people.

Well, we knew the Wolverine was already in the works so yea it was planned but don't know in what way.

So Garth when is 3pv getting removed / Que'd / Balanced? Afterall you DID tell TotalBiscuit to use it to look around terrain. Despite it not having any advantages.
So? By all means tell us when 3rd / 1st que is coming? That's honestly all most of us really want to see implemented right now.
And ignoring that is crippling your own games Launch.
