All the qqing about 3pv puzzles me though, no one even uses it. Its just eye candy and its nice to look at your mech then go back to the cockpit when its time to get serious. I think the devs actually did a good job handicapping you in 3pv to decentivize people from using it all the time. The blinky camera gives you away from 2500 m depending on settings, force arm lock, no camera control, its actually harder to use than 1pv. I'd far rather have separate queus for 8v 8 and 12 v 12 than for 1pv and 3pv.

You are PGI's target demographic. You dont care what the game is like, what PGI promised then didnt deliver and will keep on giving them money hand over fist. I think it is called having more money than sense from where I am standing.

These 2 new mechs are better than the ones included in the Project Phoenix package so that they are seen as an upgrade and a "must have" by some players. PGI is floating a test balloon to see if all the outcry on the forums is hurting their bottom line or not.

No comment from PGI about players concerns except for here are some mechs ... buy them.

At least now that the developer update told us EVERYTHING is a HUGE SUCCESS, I can be calm about the game surviving at least long enough to see those robots in the game, huh.

I see this and 2 of the classic TT mechs. 6 mechs 30 bucks. Very good deal in terms of cost.

But I also look down this road and I think around Christmas are we going to see the CLAN Package? 100 bucks, 200 bucks gets you 10 clan mechs yada yada. Then a couple CLAN upgrades? 20 bucks for a direwolf, 30 bucks for a Kodiak??

I will think this one hard. Already bought the overlord, and to be fair 30 bucks more is not that much.

But also the lesson of how you boil a frog keeps coming to mind.

Why do I get the feeling the title of "Project Phoenix" doesn't/won't probably end just here...
- Overlord was already in for me as a purchase, I love the look of the Griffin personally and I dread to think if there would be any more "pleasant surprises along the year" for us; for I will be bankrupt before December at this pace

You have got to be effing kidding me...after not one but two pre-order package cycles and completely ostracizing what should be MWO's core audience (find out that I and my friends from Virtual World Entertainment days are not core but 10-12 year old twitch gamers are), IGP releases ANOTHER add-on pack for purchase to "Project Phoenix". They all look awesome, but:

The Wolverine works out to basically be a Centurian (One less zombie energy mount, can't mount an LL there if you wanted to, but 2 Balistics and 3 Missiles) with that current build. Not that exciting.

The Griffen has EVERY SINGLE HARDPOINT on the right side. Seriously?

Also, why no special in cockpit item for the Saber package?

I haven't purchased any pheonix yet (Don't want Locust, other packages are too expensive). This was tempting till I saw the mech designs. I'll stick to premium time and live with buying what I can unless they impress me.
