May I suggest that before PGI goes on creating new Project Phoenix mechs they might take a little time to finish the Founders mech paint job makeovers that they seemed to have forgotten about halfway through the process. That would be nice.

I'll give you that one.

Hmm, seems I will have to just aim for the Griffin's RT to leave it completely helpless after the RT is destroyed. I start to like the Griffin ... as a thankful priority-target ^^

Right? Terrible hardpoint locations and the Wolverine isn't that much better but at-least the wolverine gets a zombie laser...

This reinforcement thing is really kind of odd. Why do this before delivering the other mechs? Why do this before the official launch of the game, which is right around the corner?

I think IGP wants to replicate the incredible success that Star Citizen has with selling pre-release content, but they completely fail to understand that it's the extraordinary transparency of RSI and excellent community engagement that makes it happen.

They might as well never fix the game and just keep pumping out new mechs.

Am I interested? Hell yes.

Will I buy it? Payday is tomorrow, and I can afford it, so yeah.

Do I have reservations about PGI and the course of the game? Yes, but then again I played EQ1 and EQ2 and WoW, so spending cash on the games I enjoy isn't something I worry about, I have the ability to do so.

Now, all that said...PGI if you put out another reinforcement package after this one, with a Warhammer - Maruader - Rifleman I will not be happy. I'd probably buy it too, cuz....Warhammer/Maruader.

But I would still be angry. :)

Nice, trying to balance out the refunds eh? How about you actually address the community issues, give a REAL apology where you take responsibility for your unethical actions, and hotfix in the 1pv only queues as were promised.

Provide me with something I want to buy and I will buy it (if/when I have the funds available).

What do I want most? The Unseen to no longer be Unseen, and in a better form than the 2003 Project Phoenix 'mechs.

What has been made available? The Unseen in a better form than the 2003 Project Phoenix 'mechs. So I will buy these (probably next month when I get paid).

Make more Unseen 'mechs into "previously" Unseen, and I will probably buy those too.

Greetings, MechWarriors!
We've seen an incredible response to our Project Phoenix pre-order program so far,

Meh. Propaganda. You know your 'incredible response doesn't count after you've refunded em all right?

All these guys saying "Im mad, but i'll still throw money at PGI" ... really doing everyone a disservice. Rewarding PGI for doing a TERRIBLE job with MWO.

OMFG!! AWESOME!! TAKE ALL OF MY MONEYS!!!! :)

I also just wanna say:
MWO is in beta. Purchasing this kinda stuff not only shows support amongst the incessant wailing rage out there (which, I admit, I have been a part of at times), but also affords PGI more resources to enable them to fix the game we love and make it awesome.

Yeah we all get frustrated at MWO at times… and we all wish that perhaps we could get more updates from the PGI team; even if they are just posts saying “we are STILL working on this, we are not idle.”
But lets support a game we love. Because its our support which is going to enable PGI to fix the problems we experience.

Asskiss over.

PS. Thanks Garth for mentioning on NGNG#86 that you are all working on Host State Rewind in-house and patches are upcoming to fix it. All us high-ping Aussies thank you!

That is some of the most hilarious missuse of something I've said I've ever heard. Kudos, friend! :)

Also hey Anders, GL in your next 2v1 against me. I'm sure you'll get me this time! :(

Hello Mr. Erlam:

Whilst I would love to take credit for your stunning victory against overwhelming odds, sadly, I cannot. I have not played a match since Saturday the 24th, where I led a group of newbirds in a 12 man drop to show them what it was like. Prior to that, I can't recall when I last dropped. I say this to you man-to-robot, as gospel truth, it was not me whom you destroyed. We here at the Word of Lowtax, do, however appreciate the shout out.

However, on the subject of actually beating me, Harvey Keitel once so excellently stated: "If you even dream of beating me, you'd better wake up and apologize."

We here at the Word of Lowtax would like to see the screen shot of the match however. As they say on the internets, "Screenshots or it didn't happen." The burden of proof lies in the mover of the motion, or in this case, the statement.

We here at The Word of Lowtax thank you for your post. We here at the Word of Lowtax realize that you have limited entertainment destinations and appreciate that you're spending your entertainment electrons on us. Please continue to choose the Word of Lowtax in your future holiday destination spending! We are grateful for your out of the box, blue-sky thinking, and appreciate you touching base with us here at the Word of Lowtax. We hope to synergize our efforts to achieve quantifiable paradigm redefinitions in a future collaboration soon.

As always, I humbly remain:

Robotically Yours,

This fills me with mixed emotions...
On one hand the Mech addict in me says BUY NOW!!!!
but my brain tells me to wait and see If y'all actually make this game more than a glorified death match CoD fest with mechs.

Launch is coming. I hope you are prepared.

I need to find a way to shrink this down and repost it in all of these threads.

Hehe nice one. If I were PGI I'd parse this thread and "that other thread" and publish a list of every single poster that posted he'd stop giving money in the other thread and just posted here that he got the saber upgrade.

In regards to what you posted in that pics coment I want to say though that in the discussions when they let slip for the first time that they were looking at 3rd person in order to improve new player experience there were A LOT of very constructive posts to be read by PGI in which people explained (some in MUCH detail), that there are more helpful alternatives to 3rd person view and that you cannnot make a 3rd person view that gives NO advantage as far as visibilit goes AND at the same time helps new players pick up controls better AND also at the same time is enjoyable to play in.

That point is just proven by the current implementation, it is the logical compromise that was to be expected from trying to do it anyways. As you say it fails at helping new players to pick up controls better because to keep advantages small the camera isn't far enough out to show legs AND torso on most mechs. It also fails to give NO advantage because well it can be used perfectly fine for over ridge scouting and looking around buildings. And thirdly it fails to be enjoyable to play in permanently because that crosshair jumps all over making it extremely hard to aim in bumpy terrain.

And as far as the "childish" (as some would put it) outcry goes: Looking at all the communication regarding this topic PGI simply got what they asked for. Also if you look closely at the more serious posts you clearly see that it isn't just about 3rd person view. There is a lot of swallowed down anger about balance shortcomings and content delays breaking loose there.
