Thats funny you say that, because to me, you are one of the sheep, one of the people who jumped on the hate PGI band wagon, and if anyone are sheep, it is those people.
On a side note,
Griffon hater.

Let's not forget that:
- MWO is free to play. Any purchase is the opposite of mandatory. Anyone can play, and be competitive, withouth spending a single cent.
- MWO has improved tenfold over the months. Sure, you have your memories that the experience was better in closed beta, but I think you are wrong. Those days were amazing for a multitude of reasons but the fact that it was all new were a big part.
- Lots and lots of the community concerns have been addressed gameplay wise. The fact that you and your elite group of friends disagree with the direction does not make it a wrong decision. As Garth pointed out, plenty of the changes happened with last patch are a result of community complains. When a bunch of people scream in horror no matter what happens, it's easy to get this feeling that everyone is wrong except you. This is rarely the case.
- Community Warfare and UI 2.0 should have been handed to "us" sooner and communicated to us better, but that doesn't change the fact that they are coming and that is not thanks to complains nor the complains will stop that from happening. Assuming nothing is being done, or that anyone is wasting time while they could have delvered these features earlier "if they really wanted" is childish.
Let's not forget this is an indie product. I know lots of those who complain do so because they want the game to succeed and are afraid it will flop or will just get unfun, but it's too easy to consider your own loss of interest (or your own burning out) a sign of the fact that the game is going in the wrong direction.
I have been playing non stop since August 2012 and I happen to be very satisfied, still. I have been annoyed by the state of the game more than once but I've never forgotten that PGI doesn't have the money nor the staff of a major company. And maybe they don't even have the talent. Well, what if they don't? It happens, not everyone is a superstar. They are solid at what they do enough to deliver the best MechWarrior game to date and for that I am willing to give my support, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT even though some solutions are convoluted and counter intuitive, they still improve the game.
All things considered, and after Bryan's poll from yesterday which will probably remove 3PV from the competitive aspect of the game 12v12, I think PGi has shown me enough effort and convinced me that this game will get better and better.
You know when they will really lose me? When they will introduce "gold ammo", as in WoT. Until that day, well, it is their game and sure we can vote with our wallets but so far they have earned every cent out of mine.

Yet:
A) It's my money. I'll spend it in a way that I want to.
Currently not able to join the game. Due in large part something on my computer is giving all kinds of hell in not letting the ghame discover my internet access. So that has nothing to do with PGI in general.
C) I think it's a great idea for them to add to the packages from previous venture.
D) i got a sneaky suspcion we may yet see the Marauder's show up. With that in mind. I will be more than glad to shell out an extra $50, depending on the package. Plus, the fact that I can spare $30, is more than good enough for me. Too bad they didn't add the Phoenix Hawk, then this package would have been more than worth it.

Brilliant marketing, hiding the self inflicted damage to this product, not so much.

Yes, because they totally just drew this idea up over night, because they saw their game was failing, and they need 2000 people to spend 30 dollars ASAP.
Get over yourself.
They obviously had this planned, as part of their medium mech campaign.

Oh well. I doubt I'll buy any more MC unless it's for a specific hero mech in a LONG time, it's going to take a long while to maximize all the phoenix mechs now and find one you like to play the best etc.Especially now with the Saber ones.
