Well that's a nice way to pour salt in a wound...shame on you. A lot of these upset people threw loads of cash at this title. They are your customers.

wow, the amount of whining here is astonishing. but according to the stats of a similar f2p game only 2% of the actual playerbase uses the forums and only a small part of the users is actually whining.

so, i guess - haters gonna hate.
imho MWO is getting better and better with every patch and even 3pv is not really a big deal... some people here just stumble across their ego...
UI 2 will happen, clans will happen, CW will happen.
Patience is a virtue.

keep rocking PGI!

No issues with the art team. You guys rule! However, I wish a portion of your hardwork, dedication, properly allocated focus, and quality would rub off on the rest of the team. Whoever, is focusing the other groups on things like 3PV are seriously misallocating resources. Can you slap them for us and post the video on the website? Maybe make a Rock'em Sock'em Robots game so people can take their frustrations out on the person who decided to go forward with 3PV? Put their face on one of the robots so everyone can give them a punch in the face or a kick in the nuts. Thank you. ;)

I will not be opening my wallet until I see what is in the game on September 17th for launch. I already bought the Overlord Package and this seems like a desperate cash grab. Show me the goods on the 17th and I will reconsider.

"I am soooo mad at you PGI for everything! For your lies, deception, untrustworthiness, C-bill nerf, Jump Jet Shake, Heat Scaling, 12v12, 3rd PV, etc. etc. but I will still give you money for the Saber Package." ;)

I'm not a whale, I'm like... a dolphin, with harpoons stuck in it flung by giggling children. Gonna have to just sit and bleed on this one.

To the three that are bent out of shape about Lyons' video...

Really..?

The Dev is communicating with you as a human... and you treat *that* like some sort of reason for purchasing the package or not.

I mean, I'm fairly pissed about 3PV too (on top of other game issues), but get real.

Seriously.

I purchased the Overlord Phoenix package. This "addon" seems ill-timed as we have not received the original goods yet. No offense, but my faith only goes so far. Sitting on two promised, but not yet delivered content packages is a bit too much risk for me.

I think I will hold off until we receive the content from the Phoenix Package and I can get a good sense of what my original $80 got me...

Exactly. So...they already have literally millions from the community off of a beta, it's no secret that the cash raked in has overly exceeded their original projection. With X amount of registered users, if they only get the lowest tier MC purchase @ $6.95 on average monthly from 30% of the base they have made a killing. I looked over the cash cow process of map/mech creation, understandably it's easy for an outsider to say these things are easy, and they do take a lot of work, but claiming 6 digits a pop is preposterous. F2P/P2W has become the new normal on the PC, it's a financial boon for game developers and if there are customers, that means we should end up with a better game. Aside from all the nitpickers, MWO now is way better than MWO 6 months ago, and any BT/Mecha sim fan should appreciate the work, I'd say our money is being spent as promised, but the marketing strategy is getting a little on the greedy side. They asked us to pay for the Phoenix pack up front to see the financial response and have a feasible incentive to reallocate manpower on that segment. Understandable. They delay the release of said goods until CW and UI 2.0 were in place (hopefully) and the combined goodness of it all rewards the faithful and has us all in a crackhead euphoric state, making the gaming news headlines. Understandable. They see the cry for refunds or whatever, and try to repeat the hustle on the faithful to make up and exceed any losses for undelivered content . No, that's not understandable. A wetnose kid spendin his mom's money? Maybe. A diehard fan who purchased every premium and standard color, every cockpit item without hesitation? Most definitely. A player who would rather stay home and figure out mplas damage numbers on the left thumb of an Atlas instead of taking a shower and giving his girlfriend some attention instead? If he has $50 to his name left, PGI just got $30 of it. I already gave into the hype and gave up $80 because I love this game, trying to mack me for another $30 by overlapping the hustle, I mean, did you guys plan on wearing a rubber first man?!?! I'll wait.

Very nice work PGI. I bought them all. 18 mechs,120 days of premium, and emblems and bonus all for $110 not too shabby.

Thank you PGI

Looking into my purse, seeing hundreds of Bucks, thinking about spending it and deciding that a sale of moondust for self collectors would be a better investment !

Have it fine...

Before I begin, Alex you have done an outstanding job with both of those mechs. They look downright amazing.

Now just what the flipping flop PGI. Oh we just royally pissed off the community now lets throw them some old reseen mechs to try to quell the outrage. Do you know how astoundingly stupid that is? Now you're just seen as trying to make a quick buck since people have been asking for refunds. Not to mention your original Phoenix Package isn't even released yet! How can you reinforce something that's not "on the field" yet.

This is a shameless cash grab. You've yet to deliver on the promises to the Founders like myself and your still 48 days from the Phoenix release. I'm with Aym and voting with my wallet.
