RHoD Pre-Season has started. You may run into one of the teams practicing for that. Scorpions run our practices and training nights M, W, T usually around 9pm EST. There are definitely 12 mans out there, but most are organized scrims and not "PUG" 12 mans from what I see.

solo players make the short term cash flow for PGI
a new player signs up and runs solo drops
he is doing horribly and is forced to buy MC to get anywhere
as soon as he starts to be a better player and plays with a group then he no longer needs to buy MC
therefore the game is setup to make group players hate the game

We created a 12man group from a bunch of people we each had befriended playing the game. Tried a dozen times to drop, using any/assualt/conquest and could not find a single match. We all decided to never try 12 mans again. Ill stick with solo and 4 mans.

Can you image what this could have been if PGI had put lobbies in the early part of development and actually fostered the community?

It's unfortunate that we don't have lobbies or CW yet, but we can create our own little version of CW if PGI isn't up to it. We can't wait anymore. People are losing interest in the game all together. We decided to reach out to our community and the blood feud with the jade falcons is working well. People are actually excited when they hop on the TS3 to battle our rivals/friends. We're throwing around ideas to beat the Jade Falcons and doing that with a 700 tonnage limit is quite fun. They don't use META builds and out of respect we don't either. I wish more 12 groups would do the same. Sadly, when we don't scrimmage with the Falcons we are met by 1000 ton teams with erppc/gauss out the ***.

Because PGI has done everything possible to drive us away.
Starting with killing sync-dropping.
I could make a whine wall of text but I won't.
Wonder what would happen to the earth without it's core.

I've been wondering if PGI should be providing bigger incentives for the 12 man pre-made teams. Maybe a boost to c-bills and/or XP earned above what can be earned in a 4-man or PUG drop. It won't motivate some players but it does do something to try and encourage 12v12 dropping.

Top players are taking a break. I managed to scrounge together a 12 man from 4 different units the other day and was able to sync drop against another scrounged group, but 3PV and this gauss {Scrap} has really been the last straw for many many many competitive players.

Yep and this last patch was the final nail in the coffin.

Can I make for in a 12-man lose then a pug win?

No? What's in it for me, then?

1st Skye Jaegers, the tournament regiment of the Skye Rangers, drops M/W/F for several hours each night. Until it's later in the evening, we seldom have trouble matching people.

ELO does appear to work, as a side-note. When we drop with our best players, we run into fellow RHOD tournament teams. When we bring new/non-tournament members during 'fun time', we drop against noticeably weaker teams.

Bryan said lobbies are not in UI2 (in terms of being able to make your own matches)

The solution to your problem has been proposed many times: move all groups to one queue, leave the PUGs in an all-solo quque. It would give you people to stomp while removing some douchebags from PUG matches.

There's a lot of food for thought here - I only hope that PGI notes the above which is predominantly from Founders - i.e. people who have supported the game from the get go. A consistent point is the UI and the lack of lobbies where you can see lists of teams etc. That seems such a fundamental oversight doesn't it? Way back in MechWarrior 4 days there were lobbies. Technically it may or may not be challenging to do but it seems its really needed to keep this community together. Also I've received a lot of comments recently that the 'spark' has currently gone from the game. Let's hope that they reignite it soon.
