Hello there!

so I've been wondering!

playing for like 2 full days now I'm starting to ask myself why! well i admit 2 days are nothing but still, so here's the thing..
1) i dont have the feeling that winning or loosing makes any difference.
2) there are no stats, i mean simply nothing...
sure i get that not everyone would be fond of having stats in the game but to me i would kinda give me something to push myself and keep me playing in the long run.. i rly like the game its fun, but i dont know yet if that alone keeps me interested, because in the end this game is a massive grind it seems.. i rly would love to try all the mechs and weapons and stuff but omg that would take an eternity for sure..

whatever, but again, no stats anywhere?

sorry for wasting ur time and thanks for reading this!

In the top right of the forum, look for the "profile" link.

Click that, then underneath the main menu you will get some options like "credits", "stats", "faction" etc.

Stats are under "Stats". You can see your mechs, wins and losses, weapon accuracy and damages etc.

Over time this will be expanded to have various faction based rewards and statistics also.

Go to Profile then hit Stats?

<img>JOKER Not Sure If Serious?

Do you mean like a global rating vs. all other players? I agree that would be nice.

Long term purpose is Community Warfare. Personally I think the usual challenges every week would do more to just push this game down the *******.

You have some private stats to work on if that's what floats your boat!

Please note the game isn't done just yet, "community warfare" will bring an on-going faction vs faction element to the game.

There are also occasionally leader board challenges you can opt into, I bet we will have one in September around launch time. Challenges let you compete for fame and fortune in a public ladder over a specific timeframe.

There are also some unofficial competitive leagues where theyve created their own ranking system if you want to get into a more competitive type of play.

If you enjoy the game but you're losing your motivation, you might want to try joining a team (such as the Skye Rangers). Playing with a team makes a huge difference and many groups (such as the Skye Rangers) welcome new players. As Redshift said, there are some player-run tournaments for organized teams. Either way, if you think that you'd like to stick with the game for a while, I highly recommend that you look into joining up with a team. You can find numerous recruitment posts on the Merc Corps - Outreach forum.

Groups are not for everyone though, it requires a little more commitment, not that this is bad just not what some want. I suggest getting a Headset/mic. downloading TS and logging on to the free TS server and test driving the groups all of them have an outreach on the pub server. It is also fun to just jump into the LFG room and team up with strangers, you perform better than pugging, and learn a lot too.

For me, it too was one of the first things I noticed. Yeah, at the moment, it's basically "shoot the red guys because... they're bad."

I'm hoping there will be much more beyond this with Community Warfare, and Op Revival. But, we'll see what happens.

There are some occasional competitions they run too. The much loved (and hated in some quarters) most kills per weight category style ones for which the prize is usually a bunch of MC's. And the very occasional (unless I have missed some) win 20 matches in an allotted time frame style ones, for which they award some vanity cockpit items.
Hopefully community warfare will be introduced soon though and then we should all have an overriding purpose to scrap anything not in Free Rasallhague Republic blue!

When you end the game there is a tab in the end screen where you can see how much damage you did, how many assists you had and how many kills you got. Maybe since you are new you havent seen this yet.

The main purpose is to have fun, but if the OP means in-game, then Clan Wars, Community Warfare.

Right now the game is merely CS with robots, and that is in a good way, seeing the sucess CS(still) does. Seems like mindless fun, and for hell of it, it really is, what else games are for?

Buy mechs, master them, make friends, have fun and hopefully we'll get things PGI promised.

there's not really any point to existing either, but we keep doing that too :)

eventually community warfare. For now, it's mostly for fun, but then, it should always be just for the fun of each match, and this game still gives the best matches when you get close ones, nothing else really pairs up.
