Just read Bryans blog. Its a locked topic so I started this thread.

First, thanks for sharing with us what must have been a brutally depressing period in '09 after all the work and resources you guys put out to bring this IP we all love, back. I am still stunned that none of the major publishers saw an opportunity there given the potential of the IP to deliver an intriguing SP campaign and an even better reward-based MP experience a-la CoD. For what its worth you guys gave a lot of us fans joy after many years of nothing. The video still stuns and, for my money, bests or at least equals any of the earlier MW game cinematic openers.

Second, I know a lot of people are disappointed about not getting a true SP campaign but lets be thankful we have these guys who seem willing to make MP MW (and MPBT) game that the community has always dreamed about. Given whats been handed to them, they seem to have made the best possible choice. Lets keep an open mind about what they have planned and not get bitter about the F2P aspect and what that may or may not entail. Frankly, with all the fantasy based MMO's and tactical MP shooters that are all nearly cookie cutter, at this point, a Mechwarrior Massively Multiplayer Game sounds pretty damned good about now.

Lastly, I wish the best of luck to PG and I'd like to say greetings to any of the old breakfast club guys still about (Al and Waba, you guys will be missed) from the MW3 days and hello to everyone else who are either coming from the MPBT community or from the MW side. Pleased to meet you.

too right! They've gone through a lot of trouble to bring us to where we are now. I mean 2012? That's pretty freaking soon!

obviously it's easy to fall for hype at such an early stage, but I'm really excited at MWO, and the developers give the impression of being sincere in wanting to make a good game. The excellent art associated with the project doesn't hurt at all, either!

So far I like what I've read... but even if I didn't I'd be supporting this game as best I can. Even if it turns out not to be the game I truly want, at least the IP is seeing some action and if it does well, there will undoubtedly be another game in the works. Keep up the good work.

TAKE MY C-BILLS, PRI! TAKE THEM PLEASE!

You know that the game is in good hands and that they are passionate about the game after reading the troubles they had and yet they stick with it through thick and thin.

Keep it up guys!

Take my wallet!

Thanks guys. Please keep up with the Blogs. Developer interaction with the community is always welcomed and a way to build a great community/playerbase.

Hope you build the game you want to build (Or as close to it as possible)

Russ, Bryan and Co. WILL knock this game out of the park. I think they are too passionate about the game and know too deeply what the community craves to deliver anything less than a stellar product.

I'm hoping that the seat warmer is on as they hand me my keys to my Timber Wolf in summer of 2012...

And yes, my Timber Wolf has a seat warmer, I got the LX package.

I agree, Aegis. Their company and their pride is riding on this game, as are the hopes of every Battletech/MechWarrior fan. If they do pull this off (which it seems as if they are defiantly heading in the right direction) this game will be the best of 2012.

And as for your Timberwolf getting a seat warmer I call shenanigans. I bet you barely have enough room in that cockpit for your legs. ha!

Hmm yes, but does passion directly translate into good game making? We shall see I suppose. It may be the inner-pessimist in me, but I'm wary to get my hopes up for something that sounds this good.

Definitely looking forward to this game, and the potential it has to bring in tons of new Battletech/Mechwarrior fans.

I'm excited.

Everyone working at Piranha Games right now are super-stars in my book and I have full faith in what they are doing and are about to do.

These are exciting times we live in. :)

I quintuple the sentiment. Haven't anticipated a game this much since I was a little girl... and that would only be amusing if it were readily apparent that I am in fact male.

Regardless of what the near future brings. My hatses are off to the chaps for even trying to keep this universe alive.

I don't know who these guys are or what anyone's talking about. But if someone's been pulling to keep Battletech alive, then I owe someone a beer.
