Is the Mauler mech on the horizon sometime soon to be added in the future? As a long range assault with ER Large Lasers. There is 6 total variants to the Mauler which you only need 3 to elite skill. And this is my favorite Assault mech from other MW games like MW4. And it is the mech around this time frame and some Variants somewhere later on. Would like to see this mech ingame.

I haven't heard of anything that is projected about the mauler being implemented, but I would also like to see this mech in game. Mostly because we don't have a ballistic based assault right now. The Mauler is also a very distinct design from a cosmetic view point.

The problem with the Mauler is that at this point in the timeline we only have 2 non-C3 versions, and that's if you include the Daboku.

After reading the lore on Daboku it was the prototype on the first mauler that had a ejection seat flaw that would prematurly eject the pilot and lasers that overheated to the point it fried the targeting circuits and produce too much heat for the 12 single heatsinks to the point it was a joke and a laughing stock in battle also the ACs that was on it had a jamming issue. But in 3040 the design was improved to the Mauler after the bugs got fixed if I read correctly.

^^ I agree.. an assault mech with 4 ballistic HPs in the torsos? The QQ would be unheard of (then again, it always is as soon as anyone from PGI says more than "Hi", so that may be a moot point..)

I'm just gonna throw my 2 cbills in and say it's probably gonna be as wide as a barn door. That being said, an Assault which can boat dakka is appealing to me.

Well, if you count the Daboku, and also count the even more questionable Linebacker, that would at least give you three variants. But those last two are very, very questionable.

Unless they start making up variants, then anything is fair.

I love the Mauler. The look especially, but the firepower....oh the firepower.

You could use 3 variants, but 1 is "questionable" regarding canon.

MAL-1R
MAL-1PT5 (low tech questionable canon, was published though)
MX90-D (daboku)

Will you ever see it? Not a chance. 2 Gauss & 2 PPCs. Not going to happen.

Are you kidding? With all the crying surrounding ballistic weapons?

WAH WAH THE UAC/5 IS TOO GOOD WE NEED TO MAKE IT:

WAH WAH AC/20s ARE TOO GOOD EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE TO GET UP CLOSE TO USE THEM AND THEY WERE WHINED ABOUT THE MOST AT THE HEIGHT OF THE PPC/GAUSS-OCAUST.

WAH WAH IT IS POSSIBLE TO NERF YOURSELF BY CHAIN FIRING AC/2s, NERF THE PEOPLE THAT DO THAT PGI!

WAH WAH MACHINEGUNS ARE GOOD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN GOD KNOWS HOW LONG, EVEN THOUGH YOU STILL NEED THE TARGET TO HAVE STRIPPED ARMOR ON A CRITICAL LOCATION AND THEN CLOSE TO FRENCH KISSING DISTANCE!

lol, 4x uac5s... 2x AC20s... 2x Gauss & 2 PPCs... and everything paired with some LRMs... i think that would cover all builds you'll see.

Pretty sure that was a joke in reference to the Mauler toy from the BT tv show. :)

Plz! Put the Mauler in the game!

I really hope that this mech is not passed up because of its hard points. That would just be sad.

There IS a reason why PGI nerfs these builds or doesn't want to see them happen...

If Daboku is counted as a variant it would have to come as junk at first then get better as it upgrades cause it is the mauler prototype and when you prototype something your always going to have flaws and bugs that needs worked out and this could take time and money to turn trash to treasure.

Major flaws would be it has 12 single heatsinks instead of double which really hurts this mech in cooling down after it fires. Ever try to fire 2 ER Large Lasers on single heatsinks? To solve this problem is to put in double heatsinks and increase the number from 12 to maby like 14. Once this is done you may see the Daboku's performance drasticly improve as it would be able to fire the lasers more without shutting down so often.

More like 4 x Clan UAC/2's.

Mauler is fun to use in MW:LL.

Ha, you are right. I messed the name up a bit. I meant the Linesman.
