Hey, so I've been playing a bit of War Thunder lately and have been really pleasantly surprised (I had already tried World of Warplanes)...

So a couple of points I would like to raise / suggest:

First up - splitting the queues. There's been alot of hypotheticals about 'oh noes you cant split the queues into two' but why not?

War Thunder splits the queue into 3! And seems to be doing just fine.

The easiest of the 3 modes is Arcade mode and it's very new player friendly. Why can't we do something like this. In War Thunder is a player loses his plane ingame then they can choose another - a much more forgiving kind of game mode that could work just as well in Mechwarrior online. Heck even if the new player only gets to choose another trial mech! This mode could also allow for 3PV etc.

The next queue on war Thunder is 'Historial Battles' which is much more familar to MWO. 1 plane per game just like our 1 mech per game. I would suggest also this equivalent mode would be where players get to play 1PV only.

Note: War Thunder also has a bunch of tutorials and a reward system that provides fairly solid unlocks right out of the gate.

I hope the devs can take some of this on board

War Thunder has the player base to make it work. MWO does not. It's that simple.

What? The original mode is arcade mode, the only hard thing is finding and learning all the info that is shown on wiki's etc. and to be fair there isn't that much to learn overall. The main thing that is unforgiving to new players is the cost of upgrading stock mechs and the fact they have to start with fail (trial) mechs and so are gimped for quite some time.

QFT. No one can call any MW title a simulator with a straight face :)
