Don't get me wrong guys I have nothing against lights, well maybe the horrid spider I have but the rest I haven't, I also pilot my trusty JR7 D now and again. I just think its wrong to put 6 on one team and only 1 on the other..

Thank God, that Piranha is adding charge ups to Gauss. That way you can't kill lights effectively and will overheat trying to dual ERPPC them while they destroy you. Piranha is made up the most elite game balancers in the world. No one can touch them outside of a clinic to treat Alzheimer victims who used to code with punch cards.

I just finished a game where i was in my Cataphract with 2xgauss and 2xML's fighting a Jenner. I legged him and then concentrated all my firepower on the other leg. I fired the dual gauss 3 times (at a light mech almost standing still) and hit the leg every time...no damage.
While i was firing he kept shooting me with ML's and cored me.
Yeah, lights are working fine...

There is not some big fix coming to fix this. They never took at out of the game. As per Russ himself saying

@DanSMiddleton the weight balancing is the same as its been. Next patch helps a bit by tightening up the mm, may search a bit longer.
Don't expect this to get handled anytime soon.
