It looks as though it has an awfully huge CT like the Kintaro.

Can anyone who owned this mech verify?

I have purchased both the Victor and Kintaro for MC. I will not be purchasing the Orion for MC (though I would have been inclined to as with previous mechs). Here is why...
  • Early Release purchase is only valuable if the mech works - The Kintaro debacle demonstrated a new risk for me in MWO. Spending my MC on early access to a mech that was "broken" was a tremendous waste of my MC. It appears I paid my MC to save the rest of the community the pain of playing a "Cent-aro" until it could be fixed. Oh and of course I paid you (PGI) to beta test the faulty mech and provide feedback that it needed a fix. Meanwhile, playing my MC purchased mech was out of the question as is was such a bad play experience.
  • Releasing only one varient is silly - People have to play with the early release mech without having access to the three mech variants required to unlock all abilities. This detracts from the game play experience and potential advantage of an early purchase mech.
Please fix this type of silliness so I can give you more money....

It's a nice mech with a good tonnage, good hardpoints and good capabilities. Not outstanding in any respect but competent in any role.

I can't comment on how it takes damage as the 2 matches I had with it so far were stomps so I didn't get past yellow armour. If there are any concerns I'll update.

I really like the design. It has a simpler "retro" look to it as you would imagine of a mech from earlier in the timeline. It's proportions are nicely done too.

Not too keen on the camo though. It's very difficult to find combinations of colours which will match so more often than not I'm just sticking with 2 colours. It's unlikely you'll consider reworking the camo but I'd appreciate it if you would... or allow hero mechs to use the other camos?

HAHA, the video ends with "Free to Play..."! Except it is a video for the Protector, which costs what, $20.00, so its not free to play...

Sheeple.....

It looks really, really sick. Awesome job on the camo and ingame implementation. Best look since the YLW imo.

Having Issues with it already :)

See how the arms are vertical to the body, well in match its even worst!

It has no walking animation or torso twist, when attempting to torso twist it looks around the cockpit like free look.

The visual area looks large but the actual hitboxes are fine.

I've been playing with it all night and it performs really well. Hitboxes are fine, and the hardpoints allow for variety and a little less cookie cutter. I like it a lot, although it seems to have very poor brakes, takes a while to stop going forward.
