John Spartan, I had forgotten about that movie, thanks for reminding me, I think I might just go find a copy and watch it. Sandra was young in it but in apleasant way, very hot.

Secondly - grow up to the OP and all those sympathetic to the post. Save your moans for if you don't get into OPEN BETA !!!!!
Thirdly - invites are random but reported bugs by a player can be compared to there SUBMITTED SYSTEM SPEC in order to check for any related or repeated hardware or WEI problems etc.
Fourthly - If I buy an ice cream truck and park outside your offices can I hand cones out for free for a Closed Beta invite ?

Seriously O.P. get over it, MWO has not yet been released ! No-one is entitled to a beta invite no mater how good their spec or how long ago they signed up, Signing up early merely gives you advantage over those FOOLS who haven't signed up yet

To manage your disappointment paranoia, stop checking your email or the site forums. I check once a day see its still 'PENDING' and go back to my coffee my work or another game. I know eventually I will be playing it, its just not a life or death issue with most of us.

Very very good point.
Fact is. The game is other peoples property, a company, they have the right to do whatever they like for the good of the service they are going to provide. They could reject people for such impatience, they probably need patient people interested in testing.
It is obvious to me these impatient players just want to play, take early screenshots and videos possibly for their own use.
The problem I have with most of the ongoing beta key complaints is that I feel, a person really would need to have paid for the service/product to have any right or notion of making complaints. If i was to put that in another way, harsher maybe, I could say 'who the hell do they think they are?'

It's like wanting to buy a brand new model of sports car, $40,000 price tag then demanding you get to be the crash dummy for official saftey tests simply because your hobby is cars, the price is a big number and you plan to buy one the new model. Go for it trolls, please do

Indeed, I think what really gets me is that people like the OP don't even bother pretending that they want a beta invite to test the game. All that talk about ice cream and nonsense speaks amounts about how they feel they're being deprived of something they deserve. To be fair, a lot of people will probably act the same way in the beta, except under certain conditions (e.g., a game-crashing bug), but at least they're not so unbelievably blatant about how they're just in it so they can play earlier.

Besides that, considering this is a closed beta, the game is likely missing major features that will be in later. Almost every game I've played in closed beta felt unfinished and wasn't all that fun to play because... they were unfinished. Shocked? You shouldn't be. I very much doubt you guys want to play the game in its current state, especially because I am 99% sure it is lacking much of the metagame elements that have been promised. Not that that's a bad thing, the game is in closed beta and I wouldn't expect it to be prim and proper just yet.
tl;dr the game is unfinished and unpolished (due to being just like every other closed beta ever) and if I were you, I wouldn't be in such a rush to play it. You would likely find it disappointing.
P.S. For every founder's pack you don't buy, I'm going to buy three.

Actually i registered quite a while ago, but couldnt know that you have to fill out the profile separately, now its done still nothing happens. This "Pending" annoys me already enough to have some things i dont like about this game before even playing it.
I understand, that there isnt enough place for everyone, i understand, that you try to make the expression of not preferring peoples, but if starting a game, i would invite those who show actually some interest in it first and those who registered somewhen, somewhere and already forgott about it last.

Privileges are never entitled unless you are working for someone. The Devs owe nothing to anyone. Whoever is part of the Beta is privileged to be there because they were granted access. This "privilege" is like a gift. Gifts are given, not earned OR warranted.
Now, go play Megamek or MW4: Mercenaries until you get a Beta Key all you whiners.

Then may I suggest you develop your own game so you can invite the people you want in to test it?
No?

They're not. It's random. And I'm going to venture a guess and say that your entitlement rant is going to put you on the blacklist for beta keys.

I get to a point where I wonder if by replying to these threads, multiple times as I have, if I'm also trolling.
Then I read something like this and I remember I just care about the game plus community. If players want to comment in a public forum, we have every right to have our say on it. When the post is a complaint about a service/product not even released yet and no money has been parted with by the OP.
Well I think they should be educated lets just say.
