So right now I have about 8.5 million and I'm looking at 3 possible paths upgrade my current mechs, buy more variants for efficiencies, or just buy a new mech to add some variety. Currently I own a HBK-4G, CPLT-C1, VTR-9k, Yen Lo Wang, and Pretty Baby. I use yen lo wang a lot so I thought about picking up a CN9-D since it gives me another centurion chassis and an 300xl engine for something else down the road. so if you have any suggestions let me know.

CN9-D for the extra Centurion and more importantly that XL300 which is precisely why I have a CN9-D even though I despise mechs that don't have JJ.

Centurian D gives you a ton of loot. An XL engine, an LBX (800,000 cbills and decently good now) and a good frame.

I would recommend specializing in a chassis to get the elite efficiencies--namely speed tweak. Unlocking the elite tier also doubles the effectiveness of the basics, which can make a lot of difference in gameplay; not to mention with how long it takes to get C-Bills, it would be wise to start getting your "main mech" chassis figured out. If you enjoy your Yen Lo, I would agree with the others that recommend the centurion variants although cents are not the best to run XLs on and if you just want the XL to have, it would be just as well to purchase it separately.

Find out which mechs you like best and try to get at least the elite level in each one of them.
When you finish the elite tier you get double bonus from the basic tier, which is awesome and really improve your mech.
