yes, I've been using reg 300, reg 325, reg 350, and reg 360.
I got only 4 Atlai at my garage and this is horrible cockpit shake and ridiculously stupid movement.
Btw I just played a game and every single mech got that stupid movement animation. Now it looks like an ancient black and white movie with Charlie Chaplin.

Because they're big, clunky war machines. They be clinking and clanging.

This movement animation is unacceptable... Atlas' strides must come longer but not shorter and faster! It feels like Atlas does 100 steps per 1 meter.

I think they did something to the animations of all the assault mechs. They all look funny, now.

Big step backwards. Makes the mechs feel like toy robots.

Yep. ********. An 85 ton death machine (my Stalker) is not supposed to look and feel like a 16 year old schoolgirl playing hopscotch.

From the patch notes:

- Fixed an issue where the 'Mech walk animation wouldn't adjust correctly to the Engine Rating.

Congratulations, we can read the English language too.

Now if you would apply those reading skills to this thread, and then apply some of that "CRITICAL THINKING" that you seem to be lacking, you'd see that we are aware of the change and that we liked it better BEFORE the change.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.

I agree, all of the heavy mechs feel like they are walking WAY too fast now and I don't like it. The way it felt before was much more immersive. I really hope that they tune this better.

Agreed, the steps are far too short and rapid now. Ruins the illusion of size. Slightly comical.

Animations have problems in any case: look how much the torso and head bobs in 3rd person and how rock steady the view is in 1st person. The player's view in 1st person was never tied to the actual head of the mech. If it was, everyone would be seasick. The animations all need recreating to keep the head and torso level while walking and the 1st person view needs to be from the mech's real cockpit. In an ideal world.

After playing a few matches in my heavies and assaults...I think they need to add another animation cycle for running mechs (instead of just speeding up the current walking cycle). The rapid short stride/step thing looks pretty silly.

What has been seen can not be unseen..

This is so true. I was following an Atlas out of the spawn point when the wife walked pas,t stopped, and stared at the screen and said.

"That mech is wiggle walking like a woman in High heels!"

Now I can't stop picturing an Atlas in stilettos and had to share this mental trauma with you all.. Please modify the ballet Mechs PGI for my sanity's sake!

:( Yep. It's pretty silly...Right up there with that clownish and whimsical "slide-whistle" charge-up sound for the medium lasers earlier this year.

Hoping this is a temporary thing until they can get decent run cycle anims in.
