Wow LOL, I was about as sharp as a baby seal's a** when I did that! Thanks for calling that out.

Yeah OK let's put some armor on that; http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e84aefa1abdd4f4

350XL + 2LL + 2LPL. Heat efficiency up to 44% with alpha (39.2) and DPS (4.29) slightly down. Reaches 83kph with tweak.
Not as fun I think now. maybe I'll try again later.

Drop the LPLs for 2 MLs, all but 4 DHS, and add twin LRM15s with 4 tons of ammo you get a ****** Innersphere TimberWolf :)

That looks like a strong build and I added it to my smurfy files to try one day but if I may point out, the OP did ask about LPL builds.

Good point, in that case I would run this http://mwo.smurfy-ne...460799780742f2a. Since the LPLs are midrange weapons best to run them with similar weapon. Group each arm together will net you 15.6 damage per arm and the twin ASRM6 will gut punch them for 24 damage. Just me though, but with such a big engine your best bet would be to hit and fade, dealing burst damage, then falling back to cool off and let the enemy focus elsewhere.

Agreed on that last part. It is definitely for the pilot who manages cover, constant movement and heat well.

I am afraid these days that is not me. I have a slight touch of buck fever I need to get back under control ;)

3x LPL = unacceptable levels of ghost heat. Until they either get rid of it or make LL not stuck at 2, it's going to be bad.

If they fixed that, it might be fun.

PS: Ghost Heat won't show up on your heat meter and kicks in at 2 of any Large Laser.

I'm running 2LPL in the arms and an LBX and MG in the RT.
currently saving up for a 350XL to put in it.
The fire rate on the LBX seems faster than an AC10, did they buff it?

cheers

Running an lbx, two med pulse and a large laser to great effect. Not a pulse, but good.

Ever tried that 2xLL/AC20 build on mordor? It seems you'll overheat within 3 salvos, i don't know how to make it work there. But on the other maps it's quite fine.

I have not. I like to run my builds as heat efficient as possible so I can cycle thouh weaon salvos as much as possible. The Above LBX build has been real kind as of late. You can swap a pulse for a regular medium laser and swap the LBX for a regular AC/10.
