FWIW, I have stopped playing so much.

It is tough to play knowing it will be 20+ hours for my next mech. The carrot is being held so far out now that I can barely see it...

I play daily, but I've cut back due to RL stuff. My bottom line is that I still enjoy this game, despite all the problems and needed changes, fixes, features to be added, etc. Being able to just load & drop for a quick 5-15min game whenever I want beats the hell out of a lot of games I've played, especially MMO's, that had only certain times of day that allowed PvP, minimum times for PvP instances (often 45m or more), or class/gear/level based PvP where skill only matter on rare occasions where you actually matched an opponent in all areas. That's not to say I don't want all the fixes and features people complain about - I do - but I am still having fun playing as-is, so I'm not giving up yet.

I actually came to the forums right now to try and find if there is anyone else out there who feels that these last 48 hours the matches are full of newbies.

Especially today I've played around 23-34 matches and at least 18-20 of them were roflstomps of veterans against newbies. I do have to admit that it was frustrating because I wanted to have a good time but couldn't because either I was always the last mech alive against 8 enemy mechs or my team was killing enemy mechs left and right like we were in a shooting gallery. Not fun either way.

At the begining I was a bit angry I admit it but then logic prevailed and I said to myself that I was a newbie too some months ago and some other veteran was frustrated with me losing horribly.

I just wanted to see if my observation was right. After seeing this post I feel better because I thought that maybe it was my imagination.

tl;dr There are way too many newbies playing that game the last 48 hours, confusing the matchmaker who creates totally unbalanced matches which are no fun for either team.

It's just bad luck, like all pvp games of this nature you will get frustrating streaks and "happy" streaks, yesterday was really nice for me, but today has been somewhat lacklustre.

Sometimes you just get badly stacked teams in regard to mech loadouts and chassis types or too many trial mechs on your team etc, just gotta accept the loss and move on.

Yeah this is my biggest issue right now. All my goals for new mechs or equipment are now pushed so far out there I don't really feel like I am making any progress when playing hard for 3 hours straight only nets me 1.5 million C-bills.
