Well I've been tweaking and testing for a day or so now. The build I've been running today has actually worked out pretty well for my newbie self.

The only thing I'm still unsure with is the third medium laser, I'm tempted to change it and a ton of ammo for an AMS.

Thats way too much ammo fro only 2 UAC5s. If you want to stick with UACs, then how about this one?

JM6-S

2UAC5s, 4ML, a larger engine and an extra heat sink in the engine. 150 Shot should still be enough for only 2 UAC5s (just make sure to shoot when you know that you will hit or if there is a very high chance at least)

Interesting concept.

Have you considered swapping two tons of ammo for the AMS instead of one ton ammo and one ML?

Also I'd get rid of the Ammo in the Center Torso. Stuff like that gets you killed pretty quick if a light mech catches you off guard from behind.

Generally Ammo in the Torso sections should be a last resort at any time because those are the points where enemy fire will be focused the most.

I'm running something along those lines:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...af154c3091b270f

I really like the asymmetrical forms of this build - got the idea from someone on this forum (can't find the thread, but you know who you are.)

Pros:
  • Use LT as damage sponge!
  • Amazing at peeking!
  • Bads will sometimes target your arm stub!
  • Give your Jagermech the gift of 2.5 tons! (Jagermechs love tons.)
Cons:
  • Ammo needs to go in torsos.
  • All eggs in one basket, so if you don't protect your RT, there goes 80% of your firepower.

I run my firebrand with twin UAC5's 6 tons of ammo, and 6 ML.
Great burst damage for when it has to be killed NOW.
