I see this at the start of a Terra Therma match, as I'm loading in. Always calms down after a second, though, and the map renders properly. And I don't believe I've ever lost my minimap in FPV like that.

If all else fails you can always reinstall. First though you should check your drivers and stuff like that.

That is really odd, I've been lurking on the forums since closed beta and never saw a problem like that. You can go ahead with a clean reinstall, it could just be that one of your files is corrupted. Does it happen on all maps or just Terra Therma?

Have you tried running the repair tool found here?an also check to see if you have the following installed even if you have a newer version.

** 1) .NET: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=17851
** 2) C++: http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555
** 3) DirectX http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109

Utilize the above link. It is the entire dx 9c package. Download it, double click on it to get it started in unpacking

keep your settings low, the game runs on DX9 and uses the cpu for alot of the graphics so its probably stressing your dual core...just a guess.i just upgraded to a quadcore.

I've got Eyefinity and Triple Crossfire working in this game, I doubt its an optimization problem.

You wouldn't happen to have AntiAliasing enabled in Catalyst would you?

I sometimes get this for a split second before the game on alpine peaks and terra therma,

im guessing its an under-layer visible before the main textures load

im running a HD6670

It's like... a circuit board is fighting with the terrain... maybe the circuit board is jelous of the 3-D terrain and wants to be stomped on and shot up by giant robots too.

Unfortunately, "optimized for" is an underknown rumor. The architecture is read the exact same whether it's an AMD or Intel CPU. The only "unique" optimizations come from drivers. Anyhow, I would follow, Shamous13's advice as utilizing the repair tool and making certain that all of the prerequisites are installed (MS Net, DirectX, etc.) are your best options. Cheers and good luck!

I believe the "optimized for" comment was more ATI vs NVIDIA, and MW:O is optimized for NVIDIA and playable on ATI.

Definitely not bad optimization. I run an OC'd HD7870 with a i7-3770 and 8GB of 1600Mhz RAM. (ALL HAIL THE PC GAMING MASTER RACE!!!)

The problem seems to happen to most people when they first load up the map, but in your case it seems to stay forever. You should try the simple stuff like changing your game settings (Find out if changing any settings will do anything) and changing your Driver settings first.

I suspect the problem is caused by map assets either not loading properly or failing to render altogether. If changing software settings won't do anything, it may be a Hardware problem.

Upgrade to a minimum 3.2 GHz quad core CPU because of the DX9 .

Does anybody know if the CCC CUDAATS program works with MW:O? With that program you can offload the game physics to a specific core of your CPU.
