'Cause I haven't: Two games there were close in hours of play is ether the old normal, or within margin of error … :)

I can't even say it's talking longer to find matches. ;)

I haven't noticed any improvement in match quality, but it's definitely taking longer to find matches.

Yeah... it hasn't made a bit of difference.

I've only played 3 games so far, but my results were: new players game 1 (I killed 2 and nearly killed 5, no way else killed anyone on my team), tactically questionable team that were overwhelmed on tourmaline (team split around the middle and one arm meet 2/3rds of the enemy team and were taken down), third was a solid team in an assault game...

I've been having a fair time in several matches. Most of the recent matches went around 8/12, though there was a cap win, a base rush win on River City, a conquest cap, and a depressing 3/12.

I have... I get the same people more, as the grouping is tightened, but the games are much closer, I'm happy with it.

Hmm..I think I saw a same share of reasonably close games and stomps as before the patch.

Though there were two unusual things:
1) The Hunchback P was freshly elited and I caused some serious carnage in at least half of the games. 1/3 of games were in 700-1000 teritory, also my first 1k+ match in a Hunchie...

2) I've lost almost every single match this evening, usually with my team taking 3-4 losses right at the beginning of the game and at least half of the team dying with less than 100 damage.

Tbh, it felt like I fought against lower ELO enemies than usual. Or maybe the elited Hunchie made that big of difference. Or I just had a great day...

No change. Just had a game where we had one assault, two heavy rest mix of medium and light. Other team had 3 atlas, a stalker, highlander, two Ilya, and a jagger with the rest lights and mediums. Not even a courtesy spit.

I saw the same dudes all evening, and had to wait upwards of 3 minutes before each game, but I never got stuck with 8 players against 11.

That's about it.

Games will still end in 12-1 stomps even if the teams were absolutely perfectly balanced. It's because of the way the game works. As mechs go down, the amount of firepower that a team has goes down significantly. Often times how a game begins can spell doom for a team.

Four games so far. Close matches in all of them. More importantly the weight of each team seemed to be closer than before.

This has worked great for me and mine. Especially as it comes to tighter weight balancing. My mediums feel less out of place. This is greatly appreciated. I also had many more competitive matches today.

It's still generally lopsided, plus my match wait time is generally longer.

I'll wait for a few days to get a better feel (with ELO adjustments), but it's really starting to be undesirable playing solo PUGs these days.

Nope, it now fails to find matches even if you launch solo. I don't even want to imagine when setting up 2-3-4 mans groups.

12 mans was more decent, but when we set up an all light and medium 12 mans we couldn't find anybody, even if there were at least other 5 groups playing.

trying to drop solo now seems much more difficult. In a group, we launch first time every time. Going solo I can have 3-4 "failed to find match message". Kinda wanting to go back to the old way so I can play more than once every half hour when I am solo dropping...oh well

It felt better yesterday. Most of the games have been quite close, only one roflstomp.

BUT, this is for some reason nothing unusual on a patch day. On a patch day and a short time after it, I usually get the best matches. I guess it's becaue many people buy new mechs, don't have all the skills unlocked and/or are trying new loadouts. It will be interesting to see, how maches are a week after patch day. By then, it has usually gotten much more "roflstompier".

I'm still seeing some ROFLstomps, though not as many as previous. (Used to be 90%, now 60%).

It is taking much longer to find some matches but I don't mind that when the matches are closer. (Better a long time finding a good match, than quickly finding a bad one.)

The above is based on about 10 matches... not a big sample.

My main source of dissatisfaction with MWO for three months now has been having so many noob players on my team, on the mistaken belief that I will somehow be able to compensate for them in a match against premades. Only rarely am I and a couple of other experienced players able to compensate for having half to a third of a new players in trial mechs.
