Is everything perfect.....no, but give these guys some credit for what they are doing.

1. The Kintaro fixes are working great and after testing my GB, 18, and 20 I am very happy with the performance of the chassis. The only performance limitation now is the driver and they can't fix that. :D

2. The Gauss works differently, it's not the end of the weapon just makes it a little more niche oriented (think roles and the changes already hinted about for CW). We are Mechwarriors, Aff?, adapt and overcome.

3. PPCs are hot, ERs more so. I ran my K2 last night with twin ERs to see how the heat would affect me. As longs as I didn't try to spam them constantly, the heat was manageable. Truth be told, I had been moving away from them before this patch anyway. There are still plenty of people running around flinging them all over the field and getting kills while doing it. The sky is not falling, PPC/ERPPCs are not dead.

4. HSR seems to be working, I was actually able to hit a couple of lights (DRT :() with auto-cannon shots, a nice and welcome change.

5. The Orion is a long awaited chassis and is being used to good effect across all the maps, I haven't bought one myself (yet) but it appears to be another good choice for the heavy pilots.

To sum it up, there are a lot of things to like about the direction this patch takes the game. Most of you probably did not like the way things worked in the beginning but you figured out how to make it work, you can do it again. You stuck with it this far and we all (well most of us) want this game to succeed so let go of the little stuff, focus on the big picture and lets have fun out there.

Credit where credit is due, PGI do deserve a pat on the back for this patch.

Agreed on most points except about PPCs. I base this, as I always have, on a standard 2xPPC 2xML sniper and I just can't get my blackjack to work well with the speed reduction and the heat on top of it. It feels like the PPCs from closed beta, which were too underpowered to be usable on standard builds in high-level play. Still, I'm willing to go along with it for now and try to tweak some things to get them to work again.

Sorry, I have to disagree on some points:

- new Gauss-mechanism is bad and the gun is broken now. It affects many fast mechs in a disadvantageous way. It would have been better to charge the PPCs like: without charge less dmg and heat, with charge: delay but more dmg and heat.

And give some mechs like the HM the opportunity to mount an AC20 instead of a gauss slotwise.

- 3PV and the communication of it costed a huge amount of trust. At least we are not forced to use this.

- 12vs12 please only on the big maps. You get roflstomped, or you win superb. The exciting matches with epic moments take lesser place, than in earlier times.

This game still has a great potential, but the last three patches reduced the fun and joy I had by a great number. And as far as I know, I am not the only one. A lot of people did great suggestions, but instead of fixing some wellknown problems, new issues are caused by (seemingly) spontanous ideas.

Please bring back the fun to MWO. Take back the Gauss-"improvement", work on PPCs.
Best regards

I agree with Herr Vorragend in every single point. I think you (PGI) should read and listen to what the community feels and asks for. At that time we players have had the feeling of developing the game together with you, but recently it seems, that you don't listen to the community. That you are indroducing new "features" (like 3PV) just to make more money and that your solutions to balance problems (like heat scale or gauss charging) are caused on the fact, that you are no longer involve us players.

These sort of changes are the result of a lack of foresight in the early stages of game design. but since PGI considers launch just a mile stone of no real significance the lack of primary content is not a surprise.

I have to say, PPCs were made useless two patches ago. Just too hot. Now the Gauss rifle is broken. You can't brawl with them anymore. If you lose your window of opportunity to fire, you have to recharge them again. This is so against BT canon it isn't funny. Set the weapons/equipment to BattleTech specs and let us play like with did with MW1, MW2, MW3, MW4, etc. Let the whiners develop tactics against the boaters. I did. They can too. Get rid of the consumables as well. It turns this game into a glorified World of Tanks where he who spends the most money wins. I stopped buying MC credits until the game is improved for the better. The only thing the patches have done is get rid of the rubberbanding and the freeze ups. Other than that, screwing up the weapons have made the game so much less fun to play.
