MWO is not coming to consoles, though Bryan isn't ruling it out.

Seriously, people took his previous comments and blew it all out of proportions. Though that shouldn't be surprising as people have been blowing Bryan's comments out of proportions for a while now. But it is clear that PGI wanted to avoid releasing near the time the consoles will be released as the consoles and their related releases will such up all of the press's attention.

Yeah well Bryan said almost exactly the same thing about 3PV didnt he?

If you look at everything that has happened since February, 2013, I think my theory fits.

MWO will be a F2P game for XBoxOne.

1. How long does it take for a console game to be made and ready for launch with a new system? My guess, about 8 or 9 months. So...given that you will need to port the game to the new console specs...maybe 10 or 11 months?

2. 3PV, sticky throttle, and arm lock. Each one of these features would do well for the console controller. Sticky throttle, because of the use of thumbstick joystick things, Arm lock because of better control with a thumbstick joystick thing, and 3pv to appeal to those who wouldn't give a 1st person sim another thought.

3. Achievements: Need I say more?

4. Microsoft owns the Mechwarrior license. All it would have taken is a few phone calls to get PGI and IGP to understand it's not really a choice, it's an opportunity! Wouldn't it be nice to have another title at launch, especially one that people don't have to pay for?

5. The increased cbill grind. 6. https://twitter.com/...802990348627970

7. If you consider the multitude of things promised for February, and then the amount of resources it would take to work on the port but still release new stuff for your PC audience, it makes sense that we have only gotten a few maps, a good-enough-for-me amount of new 'mechs, cockpit stuff, paints.

8. U.I. 2.0! That old PC game UI is no good for consoles. EDIT: Expect this to be done and "perfected" no later than November 21st. http://techland.time...r-22-worldwide/

Anyway, I think I have made my case. This is why I think development on our end came to a crashing halt in February 2013. intelligent counter arguments welcome.

EDIT: Removed personal comments for sake of discussion

Been saying this for weeks now, and others before me, why pgi have been turning the game into **** its for the console players, why the company gets no more of my money, and i'm still titchy about keeping pheonix

Ever play any of the MOBAs that came to the Consoles?

They eventually left for the PC because they couldn't patch often enough on the PS360, and it cost them money every time they patched. MWO would have the same issue.

Not likely going to happen.
