King Crab with 4 AC/20s. Because: King Crab.

Left arm, LT, RT, Right arm.

(All arm and side torso slots taken).
AC/20 ammo x2 left leg.
AC/20 ammo x2 right leg.
AC/20 ammo x2 CT
AC/20 ammo x1 head.

63 tons in weapons and ammunition.

250 standard engine = 18.5

81.5 tons so far.

Armor max = 29.2.

110.7. Too much.

Standard 200 engine instead = 11.5 + 63 tons weapons and ammo + 496 points of armor (25.5 tons) = 100. Perfect. Trade 2 tons in AC/20 ammo for 2 tons in standard heatsinks. It's legally playable.

If you want close quarters for that thing instead of merely a good Back-up weapon in case someone get's too close, may I recommend this configuration I kind of enjoy?

A Hunchback with an AC/20, x2 MPLs and x1 SPL?
This is achieved either by reducing the amount of armour you have or, in my case, upgrading the Skeleton to Endo Steel and giving it Ferro-Fibrous Armour. Surely with these weight-saving techs' you'll be able to last longer

To that, I offer this: Hunchback 4G with 3 SL, 2 MG, 1 AC/20, and the important part of the armor configuration is right torso front armor 46 points, right torso rear armor 2 points. 3 SL = 9 damage/3 seconds + 2 Mgs (2 damage/second) = a nightmare for lights and lots of bonus damage between AC/20 shots. Close range makes you much harder to hit when near those much taller mechs.

Machine Guns do 2.0 Damage now? Since when, I always remember them having .10 damage! This is new, I must make a Light Hunter for this.
How about this?

Not bad, but you stand to use Endo-Steel. Those SRMs won't hit jack without Artemis. If you're looking for a Light Mech hunter in the Victor, I'd commend you for effectively putting one into action.
Here, try this. I modified your design a little.

Yep, I still run this from time to time. If I want to swat at some distant targets, I'll drop down to a 335 and replace one SRM for LRM15, but the AC/20 is what really makes this build.

Highlander 733C:

Std 325, 3JJ, 2 LPLas, AC20.

Very dangerous and surprisingly fun! Use it like a Cent - your left arm is a shield.

They do not quite do 2 damage; in reality they do .1 damage and fire 10 rounds a second bringing it to 1 damage per-second the when you add a second MG that brings it to 2 DPS. MGs even got another buff recently with critical hits applying a % of damage to the internal structure. I am actually surprised that we do not see more being used since you can fit 2 for 2 tons and get 2 DPS out to 120 meters and reduced to 240 meters with it ripping apart unarmored sections.

0.1 damage per bullet, one bullet per 0.1 seconds, in 1 second you deal 1 damage. It's supposed to be 10 bullets per second.

Note: Your ACTUAL firing rate depends on your computer and not the network. Some computers fire at less than 7 bullets per second. Some computers fire up to 13 bullets per second. I do not know the cause of this, but it has been noticed in youtube videos and my own firing rate fluctuates between 9 and 14 per second.

Also note that the MG is a Hit-Scan weapon, aka it works like a laser. There is no travel time. The bullets you see are just a particle effect and do not represent the real bullets. There is no lead time. Do not treat them as a ballistic. Treat them as a constantly firing laser. These things are freaking devastating to lights en masse and accompanied with pulse lasers.

Two MGs, that's 0.2 damage per 0.1 seconds, totaling 2 damage per second.

---

Far as the design, I like the idea. It would definitely have insane deadliness once the armor is stripped. But here. I just improved how long your hunch will survive. The "rear" armor of the Hunchback 4G's right torso is literally the small of its back. The entire Hunch (front, back, left, right), side of the body, and right side of the stomach all count as Right Front Torso. This means if I shoot your hunched shoulder from behind, I hit your right front torso. If I hit your right shoulder, I hit the front right torso. If I aim for your head from the left and barely miss, I hit your right front torso.

The "Orange" is your Side Front Torsos. Hence, there isn't much point in much armor allocated to the rear-right.

Then I need a better computer. All I'm getting are 4fps.

Pretty much any Atlas should be an AC20 platform (or maaaaaaayyyyybe gauss).

I always put an AC20 in my Misery.

An AC/20 makes every mech better. It's probably my favorite weapon in the game.

Some of my favorite AC/20 mechs:

YLW
Hunchie 4H
Jager
K2
Cataphract
Victor
Highlander
Atlas

Edit:
OMG, how could I forget the Misery!

I can't offer much experience, because I have only 98 games with an AC20, all taken on a CTF-2X with AC20, 2 SRM6 and 3 MLas, running on a 280 STD.

Definitely not a top tier AC20 platform by any means (a Jager with two of those guns would certainly offer more praise to the AC20 gods) but I really enjoy games with that 'Mech, and it moves quick enough and survives long enough that I've gotten 71% accuracy with the AC20 (which by my low skill standards is amazing).
As in, it has enough armor that you can stay calm and aim without needing to constantly panic and make evasive maneuvers, and fast enough to get into range to do full 20 damage.

My best ride.

If i had to chose just one mech it would be my Wang.
If only you'd used those nouns "ride" and "mech" in the opposite order, you were so close to posting the sentence "If I had to choose just one ride, it would be my Wang."
So close.. -_-
