Hey Marthe, love the Heat sim, helps highlight stupid builds.
Any guesstamite on when you might have the new clan gear loaded up in there?

@Prisima : :( no ghost heat is not triggered by chain fire yet. too tricky for me :(

Is there any way to test a chain-fired group other than clicking it over and over? Say I wanted to test 2 UAC10s on chain fire continuously going while i fired other weapon groups to see the heat generation?

@varik : the chainfire ghost heat is too tricky for me to implement at the moment, given the free time i have. :(
I seriously super wish i could tho. i'll keep on sketching possible code implementations on my notes whenever i can :[

I like this tool quite a bit!

One thing I was not quite sure about though, the heat numbers that are being generated is the mech standing still or at full throttle?

  • You can now import builds from smurfy

Ghost heat doesnt work in it lol. I have it checked but it doesnt apply. I can chain fire 4x CERPPC with the WHKs 27DHS setup 12-13 times.....in game that is only 7, then 8 after a pause.

OFc, 12-13 is how many times it should be....but..,meh.

Is importing Smurfy builds broken for anyone else?

Can't get it to import anymore, it was working a few weeks ago.

This heat sim is a remarkable, truly invaluable tool, right alongside Smurfy's mechlab. However, speaking of which, importing has been broken for like a month. It hasn't been updated since January. It's sad, but the project is likely dead, which is a real damn shame given how cool it is. It's got bugs and hiccups (and a ton of missing features), and without an author who'll take care of it, it'll fall farther and farther behind given changes to the game and eventually be useless.

very nice stuff
would be nice to add a proper constant mg fire though, to test the whole damage of a build
it's a minor issue though

This thing is awesome I've played with it for hours. I've noticed that sometimes when I fire a weapon it resets immediately instead of having a cool down or reload period. Also, is there a way to chain fire weapons groups?
