Watch Where You Aim!

I understand the need to check how your heat cycles on different maps and I am not demanding people don't fire, I am just saying watch where you are shooting. I also am not complaining about being shot by friendly when in a furball. It happens, and as long as it wasn't deliberate, I can forgive.
Just a personal annoyance.

If you don't watch out you deserve it.

Are you firing randomly or at a target? If you are firing randomly they have a point but they shouldn't shoot you back unless you do it repeatedly. If they get between you and an enemy mech then they are at fault.

I can tell if or how fast we're gonna get wiped out by how many guys do it on my team.
Accidental FF does happen sometimes.
There's no excuse for shooting someone at the drop point.

"he ran into my fire" at the beginning of a match is NOT AN EXCUSE! You should not be firing your weapons while the lights and other mechs are moving off. If you hit them or they cross into your path. ITS THE SHOOTERS FAULT! No mech has eyes in the back of their heads to see dolts shooting in the direction mechs are moving off in!

If im running a brand new build or a funsys build I just built I always fire all energy based weapons at the ground to see if im comfortable with the keys I assigned my weapons.
I assure you shooting say ML's or PPC's at the ground is no way to tell if your team is going to loose, admittedly I rarely play pug matches, and that's for sake of my sanity as I do not enjoy loosing.

That's what the testing grounds are for no?

I have no issue with that, my issue is when they fire them in my direction. People need to learn some basic weapon safety and discipline.

When I say weapon discipline I mean don't point at friendlies, don't pull the trigger when pointing at friendlies when you ignored the first part.

What is sad is that so many of them have the attitude of JohnnyWayne up there in that they think it is your fault for getting in their way. They don't see that they did anything wrong, and you have no reason to be mad at them. I can understand the noobs making an honest mistake, they can be educated, it's the so called vets who keep doing it anyway who have no hope of redemption.

Wrong, that is what the testing grounds are for. Pick the hottest map, drop into the testing grounds and blaze away.
Firing away at the drop like a bozo, only encourages other, newer players to do the same. How are they going to know any different. It's up to all of us (and yes that includes you) to set a proper example for new players. They imitate what they see.
And yes, bozo is what bozo does. If a bunch of "guys" on my team are blazing away at the drop, it shows their mindset and cognitive skills in game. So yes, the more team mates that do it, the faster we're gonna get steam rolled by the opposing team.
It has been a pretty reliable sign of how the match is going to go.
