i have been feeling nostalgic lately and wanted to play some mech warrior 4, i can run the menus the mechlabs and everything other than gameplay. when i try to start any scenario i get the following error (its rather large)

I have two thoughts, I would hope that the first one works.
1. 1. Many bugs in the game occur especially if operating on a new windows platform. This is mostly due to the type of videos and audio used. I once got this to work on windows 7, but not on windows vista, you'll just have to try it. The idea is to disable those formats in the game. Create a shortcut to your MW4mercs.exe. Place the shortcut wherever you'd like. Right click on the shortcut and click "Properties." You'll notice a destination folder for the shortcut called "Target" that you can edit, it may look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Mechwarrior Mercenaries\MW4.exe" ---> what you want to do is add the new parameter /gosnovideo onto the end it it. So it may look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Mechwarrior Mercenaries\MW4.exe" /gosnovideo
Like I said, it may not work, but's it's worth a try.
2. Otherwise, i have uploaded MW4 and it includes a bunch of patches and fixes to help it run on many different platforms. If the first suggestion doesn't work, you're more than welcome to message me personally and I'll send you the link to that download.
