Here is a simple suggestion for PGI. Color code the kill notification on the HUD to communicate better if a friendly or enemy BattleMech was just destroyed (looking at the picture below its obvious a friendly just killed an enemy BattleMech). This removes confusion on the battlefield and you don't have to hit the tab key every time a 'Mech is destroyed. Thoughts/Opinions?

I'm surprised no one would want this little feature?

I do, that would be great, especially in conquest where you can't keep track on the kill stats (without tab).

To be honest:

I don't really care, in fact, the less FPS-alike elements in this game, the better, for me. After this how long until a HEADSHOT in the middle of the screen after an AC20 in the Atlas left-eye?

Not to be an ******* really. Don't really care about those indicators in the middle of the fray as I am not keeping track of whom I kill, but rather that I did kill.

I'm frankly amazed that some indicator for this wasn't in the game right from the beginning.

I want this. Also make the colour of lance mates the same cyan colour so we can see more easily when our lance mate is killed and who killed them.

I voted yes. I'm always pressing tab to see who's team member just snuffed. Good idea :D

The only Thing I would add to this is that people who die from cooking themselves because some one used flamers on them.
Flamers should get their own Kill colors or micro pics like in old Call of Duty.

the Flamethrower one's were just flat-out Epic when they occurred.

would very much like this also a (friendly) and (enemy) marker beside people on global would be nice so when you respond to someone trying to smack talk on the chat you don't embarrassingly start smack talking against someone on your same team.

Not to be a jerk about it, but there is this, and it's far more useful:

Not on Conquest, though.

It should also be a super-simple fix to make, so I don't see why not.

I can dig color-coded kill messages. Its better than having confusing orange kill messages.
