As I always look for cooling efficiency sometimes I add too many heat sinks, but hey, so far it works fine for me.
If I only use my torso weapons overheating is not an option, even I can fire two LLas + gauss without worrying about overheat for a while.
This is my Misery build.
Fast enough to put some distance when needed or moving along with the rest of the team.

Use the entire right side as a shield, or if you're a sucker for symmetry place one peep in each arm. You'll get better weapon convergence with the peeps on one side though.
The speed at which you can spit AC/20 rounds will make you feel giddy as a Hunchback 4G pilot, and face hugging mediums/heavies will feel the pain if you can keep that right side facing them while feeding AC/20 rounds to the components of your choice. Protect your brown eye though.

So I finally hit on this build and now it truly lives up to its name. It gave up a 7 kill 3 assist match with 1220 damage 153 score, I was the only survivor.

Edit: The left arm armor is 56 not 54 as shown, for a full 85t.

For ballistics I then take the AC/20.
Being that it is LL and AC/20 as opposed to ERLL and gauss this build is best for working close in to the enemy. I bought my Stalkers for CW, and found that most engagements in the beginning of the match are actually at close range, and I usually drop the Misery first so I went from ERLL to LL for heat purposes and AC/20 to gauss because it doesn't explode - and also because I enjoy that weapon a lot. People back the eff up when they get pegged with an AC/20 round, even if they're driving a las-puke Timber.

This is the current build:
My MISERY
I actually frontloaded armor a bit more after looking at it for this, your mileage may vary. It's been awhile so I don't recall all the rationale, but I believe the heatsink in the left arm is there to provide something other than my weapons to destroy.
I can alpha twice before overheating. A slight delay before the third one is advisable, although part of the cooling will come through cooldown.
This mech can engage at multiple ranges, given a good distance and angle can take down uavs and is useful in CW as well as normal drops. Usually I use the large lasers at distance, and if I am close use the ac/20 followed by the pulse lasers unless I see a good chance for a quick alpha. That helps with heat, too. With a Standard 300 engine I get a good speed with tweak for an assault. Obviously using an XL in a Stalker is a big nono and wouldn't fit here anyway.

Best build money can buy. The large pulse is a personal preference of mine, so you can switch them out for regular large laser if you like and use the free tonnage for either more ac20 ammo or heatsinks or bigger engine.
Swap the LRM15 for an SRM6, drop the 3 ML's, increase the engine to a 285, add two more tons of ac-20 ammo, and 4 double heat sinks... Twice the DPS, and almost as large of an alpha, and 16 more ac-20 shots which is huge..
