Hit Detection Past 1000 M

I was messing with erppc's and gauss rifle builds and trying out the advance zoom and I ran into a huge hit detection issue.

It seemed that anything really past 1000m would not register at all almost 80% of the time.

I was firing on mechs crossing the bridge on river city and as well as mechs standing still while capping lower city. Perfect shots nothing in the way from eps sitting on the towers up high. I eneded up moving under the 1k marker and all of a sudden the same shots would hit. Moving 50 feet closer should not have made any difference on mechs standing still.

I'm not sure if this is a bug to the weapons distance, or hit detection or HSR or hell just extreme bad luck on reg hits but either way. I'm curious if anyone else who was trying the extreme range was having any issues

River city was the main map but also found this in tourmaline and apline though not as bad

Had the same problem on Forest Colony last night; twin ERPPCs at just over a thousand meters. Stationary sniping at a stationary Orion. Five twin shots, five hits ... zero damage. Moved in closer and started registering hits.
