So, in an effort to branch out in my gaming career, I tried Archlord II today and played all the way to beating my first dungeon.

It seems pretty good. The graphics are nice, character stats and leveling is very customizable and the game is more fun than I at first thought it would be, being that I typically am not an MMORPG type of person.

My only complaint is my female character (I made two) still needs some armor that isn't a bikini. ( -_- )

On the other hand... Demon boobs.

So does armor make a difference in this game?

I'm not sure yet, but I think so. I only bought light armor for my two characters but I'll get back to you once my swordfighter has a heavy set.

One thing I've noticed is that there are armor variants with different stats for Physical and Magic defense, which is nice.

I still don't have a REAL heavy set, just "heavier" variants of the base armor. But yes, there is a difference. Also, some armor sets have an effect on your max HP and Mana values without being enchanted, which is interesting.

But anyway - well, how did you fellas enjoy your weekend?

I didn't watch the game, I was too busy trying to figure out how to hit a target more than 5 feet away with my AK in CS (you wouldn't believe how hard it actually is - the spread on that gun if you aren't standing still is INSANE).

In the old CS we used to aim for the ankles and get consistent headshots as the rifle walked up the target. ^_^

Yeah, doesn't work anymore. Your aim does get pushed up but the spread is as wide as it is tall.

Absolutely no weapon customization in CS:GO allowed. Although you can buy skins/camos.

Arma 3 is outstanding, you should try it.

Once you get past the facts that:

It is'nt optimized at all.

Has a half finished net code.

And has physics that make ArmA 2 point and laugh.

did I mention the lack of optimization?

Outside of that, I love this game, its actually an improvement over A2.

(I would highly advise waiting until it goes on sale, $60 is a bit much for the work BI did on it.)
